1000 euros is fine I brought a 1000 euros with me last time and 800 dollars and had no problems,,maybe change the euros for dollars as they seem more readily accepted
Legally, you can bring up to $3000 USD without paying tax..shhhhhh..don't tell anybody what you have.
Can also, legally, bring up to $200USD in gifts. Anybody say you can bring anything you want, then let them take in that amount and tell officials what you are carrying!!! Always helps to know rules.
Euros are better in Moldova...I got killed recently with dollar shrinking, my apt price went up daily, couldn't get there quick enough. Dollar rules in ukraine.
I have brought 3000 euro with no problem at all.Be carefull not to bring more money when you get out than when you got in because they may suspect you of smuggling or drug dealing and ask for bribe.
Let....would you be willing to tell officials that you are carrying in 3000euros?? If not, then you know it is wrong to advise something to bring that much. All one can do is advise of rules and 'let' others decide what to bring in.
Question....how do they know how much you brought in if not told and if not told what you are leaving with. When I have left, I was only asked how much ukrainian money I was taking out.
I do not advise him to bring so much in his wallet.Everyone uses ATM mashines, they are everywhere,so there is no need to bring in so much money.
I was asked why I left with so few money, how much was ukrainian money and if I brought drugs to sell in Ukraine.(they asked this when I entered).
"The whole point of asking a question is to seek an answer not smartarse remarks....if you can't or won't contribute....shut up!"
correct, the orginal question asked how much money can be taken with you with you when you enter(at the airport). Not how much you should spend. Most people understood this.
Its not me asking the question and I'm already here, but thanks anyway. Theres a limit to how much cash you can bring in without having to declare it. The guy asked a perfectly reasonable question. What you didn't understand is hes not asking how much money he could spend while hes there, but how much hard cash he can take with him in person though customs.
Hmm yes cash is used in the west, along with cheques and credit and debit cards. Now whos asking silly questions! :)
Monada I'm not annoyed, and to you the question might seem silly...but you know the answer, hence my remark to you.Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit....and recently this forum has sunk to the depths.
