Not to rain on your parade, but I think there are better places for young guys to go to for some fun, girls and adventure...do you really need to go to a place nobody will understand you, the girls will want to ripp you off etc ? Why not just head off to Ibiza or barcelona ? More fun, very pretty, crazy girls, everybody speaks english...
I wish you good luck, but don't expect the girls to fall on their knees cause you speak english...oh, and you do realize that 10K australian will be blown very fast ? And at some point you will have to pay it back...you've got to love this people playing 'big guys' on credit...
Good luck. Should be interesting to hear how it goes and your impressions of Odessa. Also agree with Thomasm3, but I think your planning on going on a contiki? tour so you have that covered anyway. I would think you would have more fun in the tour or in
London.
robin we've tried to tell him many times that if ukraine girls wanted to just to party with 20-something womanisers they've got plenty of opportunities with local guys. still it will be an adventure for them and at least they are getting off their arses and going there.
I'm curious as to how the kid makes his money. He says he's a salesman yet can hardly finish a sentence.
I got bored 15 seconds into the you tube mumblings.
I'm thinking perhaps he sells something that doesn't require a sales pitch.
Mmm...I wonder what that could be....?
This guy is the biggest idiot in Australia. He needs needs to learn a little respect about foreign Woman. I dont understand why some men seem to think Ukraian and Russian women are stupid. Most woman will see this guy is a total idiot. And just incase he reads this, my 2 Year old sons speaks a better sentence than him.
Noggie...just got chance to see your video....are you sick or something???? You don't look
look so well...is it that pressure to perform on your back!!!!
what no adjectives to decribe me???
i was well. just dont know how to get through to you people that I am really here. some old fat american kock at o neils last night asked 'what are you here for... research?' and laughed so much he started coughing. his girl, meanwhile half his age, was a struggler.
He has the gut to DO this. Most guys don't. They just talk.
Honestly I think there is some jealousy in this forum that he is able to do this when he is young. Personally I would have LOVED to go through Europe (Western or Eastern) when I was very young. I just had some other obigations - like a wife and kids - to worry about first.
Still waiting for the pictures of the hot chicks from Odessa though.
ok, sitting in the place next to buffalo 99 (the other sports bar). finally have my own laptop internetted to do some uploading. staytuned for a utube coming from UKRAINE!!
Man, cannot get over the food here. It is SO GOOD! and 24 hour and cheap enough. not too impressed with all the ladies as they smoke hard.
Actually nooga found a unique and personal way to communicate with us. Most of us never show a picture of ourselves and we certain never hear the voices of each other (whether that is necessarily a good thing or not).
I think that showing us his new visa was merely a way of adding a visual to his video. And to show that he was serious. I needed a visa to visit Ukraine in 2003 and as I recall it was fairly expensive. (Of course Americans and European Union citizens no longer need one now).
One other comment - nooga is right that the food in Ukraine is excellent. Nobody much comments on that here - but taste and usually presentation are geneally pretty good in Ukraine.
jetmba,
Well without checking my expired passport I think I may have some 4 Ukrainian visa's, 50% single entry & 50% double entry, hang on a mo' though, I've got 4 youtubes's to make :)
Food in Ukraine can be a hit & miss affair but, if asked, I do voice an opinion. You, for one, might recall me warning guys away from a place called 'Mustang' in Zaporozhye, an American military themed restaurant but the food is shite however, and I think it might have been to bassuk amongst others, I thoroughly recommended sitting out (in the summer) on the veranda of 'Billy Bones' in Zaporozhye eating the meat dishes and the pepper steak at O'Briens Irish pub in Zaporozhye is excellent also.
What is also good, but only during the summer and if a garden is available, is buying a BBQ for some $20 or $30 and then going to the supermarket for the charcoal, marinated shashlik, salad, vegetables, bread, alcohol (of course :) etc. etc. etc. and the family can be so appreciative beacuse it becomes a party and they are eating good food that they can not normally afford.
While in Yalta last year my lady and I stayed at the small Hotel Krimsky (as mentioned in another thread) - unfortunately the exclusive BEACH promised by the hotel as one of its attractions, turned out to be a permit to utilize the beach in front of the humongous Yalta Intourist. It was a twenty minute walk - up hill - both ways (just kidding), but since we were AT the Yalta Intourist we had the opportunity to try its restaurants and were quite impressed.
This year - we decided to avoid the twenty minute walks and stay at the Yalta Intourist directly. Unfortunately the reasonably priced and amazingly appealing restaurants remembered from last year - were nothing really special this year. All the menus had changed and the quality of the food was down (while the prices were certainly UP). Maybe we were hungrier last year after all that walking and therefore less particular.
OTHERWISE - nearly everything I've ever eaten in Ukraine and Moldova has been tasty.
The shashlik idea is a good one. Ive seen small barbeques for sale and happen to like the stuff very much. I think I will steal your idea and offer it the next time I visit my lady over there.
jet,
During my year of dating with the wife I did the BBQ in their back garden for my birthday and it turned out to be a really good day, the family enjoyed it and we had some friends round also and 4 years later my brother-in-law still treasures that $20 or $30 BBQ :)
And the cost of filling a trolley at the supermarket, well the cost doesn't really register any significance when compared to restaurant prices.
