Street 12637 Morkinsky,
City Zelenogorsk, street Builders, 7
I have been eamiling a lady from here and am getting ready to travel to meet her and her family. She wansts to come here first, but I think it is better I go see her first.
Any ideas on travel and hotels in St Petersburs.
Web sites warn about all kinds of danger traveling to Russia, any advice what to advoid.
the address is a bit garbled - I would guess that street Builders, 7 definitely corresponds to
ulitsa Stroiteley, house # 7 (that's what "builders" are in Russian)
12637 looks like a zip code although it's one digit short 'cause all zip codes have 6 digits in Russia. No idea what Morkinsky could mean because the name of the city is already there - Zelenogorsk. So it's best to ask the lady to clarify,
Agree with Danny 1000%> Steer clear of the drunks and you'll do fine. Especially if in Russia, steer clear of drunk men wearing white and blue striped t-shirts. If they hear you speaking English and their pissed and you look weak and timid -- beware. ;p
Agree with Danny again> Dress as a local and you'll do fine. Never wear shorts and ballcaps unless your married, have kids with you and like looking like a stupid American tourist. ;p
