For me its when you have been in a relationship over a year and she spends more than 90% of the time with you and her parents are happy with her partner. Well, me and my local Aussie girl decided this weekend after much thought and discussions, that it was time to make a change in our lives and that we both felt it was right..hey Guys I am getting married. The wedding has been planned for March 21st 2009 and 2 days latter we are going away for a honeymoon holiday and we need that leadtime for us to save and for her parents to save up for the wedding expenses. We are going to hire a local community hall with a kitchen, have some of our friends help with the catering as we will not have a very big wedding, about 50 guests at the most. We have chosen our marriage celebrant who will do the ceremony our way and help us, a very nice lady celebrant in her 30s will marry us in a modern wedding and we won't be stuck together by an old biddy. For me and her, it will be our second marriage each but we know it is right as we love each other, behave like a married couple ( her mum said we quarrel like a married couple ) anyway and its time to tie the knot. Oh yes, some people such as my ex-wife, her nose will be really put out of joint as she is yet to move on with her boyfriend of 7 years..no marriage in sight for her according to my kids who I don't see much of nowdays as they are up in there teen years and too busy! ...and definitely no more foreign brides or letter writing which I have not done since last year, quit for good...found the local lady instead! ben2006 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 8/16/2008 11:24:13 AM   Nice work Aussie.
