How possible is it to find a reasonable.modest job in Ukraine? I revieve money from the miltary each month for injuries but I am still curious about being able to supplement my income if I spent a long block of time there. Any ideas? I work as a photographer here in the US.
Your chances of earning anything approaching a decent wage workign for someone else in UA are somewhere between no-chance and f*** all. Its awash with very smart educated people slaving away for $200-$300 a month. If you can manage to start a business then you *might* do better but you have to remember that despite the rows of X5's parked outside designer boutiques in kiev this is a POOR country - GDP of $1700/year per capita.
I have heard that there is a demand for Native English speakers to teach English. And it is possible to earn about 8 dollars an hour doing this. You can do a google search for jobs in Ukraine or if you know someone in Lugansk have them check at the universities or ask around about private English courses.
Hi jeremytk
The only way you will find a good paying Job in the Ukraine is if you work for a foreign company.
I know of a guy from New Zealand, who works in the Ukraine for an Australian Mining company and they fly him home every month.
Here is a couple of links to search.
sxc The previous photo was taken this spring and this one in July at Yalta. I may fluctuate 5 or 10 pounds but not much more than that. I do not try to impress anyone only keep an accurate photo. But my lady had been making dinner for me for about 2 weeks and she is a good cook :-)).
