Arrving Tues night 530 and leaving Thurs 1030 am. Have no clue what to do there. May be alone may have local female companion depending on if we can get together when I arrive. If not.... Whats some fun places/things to do in Kiev that wont take all the time? Mostly Weds as I will have all day and all night to burn. But I want to do some souvenier shopping for the folks back home while Im there and of course, have some fun if companion doesnt meet me. Any place anyone can suggest thats a must see while Im there for a short time but not eat up hours on end? Thanks in advance guys! It's the main drag through the city. Look around there. Don't forget to look up, the buildings are gorgeous. In my humble opinion on a par with St Petersburgh. Get to Independence square from there. Kiev is a Soviet hero city and there are lots of reminders to the struggle against the Nazis if get the chance to check out the museums and art galleries everywhere in the city. If you can; get up to a top floor building in a museum in the old part of the town and get a panoramic view. You won't be dissapointed. If you're alone and don't want to be, the girls are everywhere. If you are of a mind and don't go about it the wrong way, they're approachable. And verrry beautiful. If things go well and you are with companion and you like her, you'll have a great time. For good beer go to O’Brian’s Pub on Mikhalaevskaya also near Independence Square, they might have live music but I am not sure about Wed. night.
