I have a question and concern. I used an attorney to assist me in making my fiance visa 129F. She was sloppy and had made a mistake on my social security number on the form G325. I spotted this and then she corrected it. She sent away the package for processing one month ago. I had received a receipt number. I went back to see my attorney to make a final payment. I asked to review all the documents again and noticed another mistake on form 325A again. This time it was with my birth date. I provided my attorney with a copy of my original birth certificate. It was worn and not perfectly ligitable. She inputed the wrong age due to the date on the originbal certifiacte was not clear. My question is now what should I do?? The uscis in Vrmont has all my paperwork. SHould I call them and reveal a mistake that I found and provide them with a clear copy of certificate, passport, or should I do nothing and wait and see if they will ask for more documentation to supporttheir findings if any arrises????
I'm very worried and want to make sure that my ladys fiance visa will not be denied due to an oversight of human error, from my attorney. I would appreciate if I can get some feed back??
that answer is priceless Olga, maybe find one not in such a hurry. Emperor 2000 there is an 800 number on the I-129F form instructions. They are very courteous and helpful. If you got a receipt (notice of action) then they have accepted your application. You can mail in additional information by using a copy of that notice of action as a cover letter and thus it will get in your file. I would guess you could send a new corrected G325A form in but I would call and ask about it.
Emporer, they are not picky about typographical errors. They have enough documentation to cross check your information. So relax this isn't that difficult of a process. They aren't looking for the smallest detail to reject your application. Since it's already at the Vermont clearing house, it's clear sailing until the Consulate and the interview. Good luck and relax all will be well, if it wasn't you would have heard already.
My fiance's petition was granted and we went through processing smoothly without the help of any immigration lawyers. My visa was approved. My fiance filed the petition last May and was granted this September and I was approved this November on the same date of my interview. You spent so much money, Emperor....
