I read several posts and the picture I saw was like you guys buy a wife in a market. Well well well, I thought. But then I read several posts wrote by some of you where you shared about your beautiful women, how you loved them, how you were happy. I saw that such websites really helped nice people who just wanted to have family and be happy. And this is good. Thus I felt that I can leave here some advices for you guys. I am not a “doctor love” so my advices will be not how to “pick up” a girl but how you can increase your chances to find who you need in Ukraine (or Russia). Some guys have already left here their advices but some of them proposed you “services”, with other ones I cannot completely agree. So read, contemplate and think twice before making a step. 1)Have you though about looking for a wife on such sites like Facebook, sites for meeting panpals etc. All women (I am not talking about scammers) on dating sites are directed to find a husband. Why is this bad? Because you are a target from the beginning. If a woman has problems, not young, has kids, cannot find a man… finally get your email she may catch you like a fisherman catch a fish because you may be her last chance. She may be nice and perfect but may be cold to you in her heart. 2)Some advised you to have a profile on local website. What is the reason of this if you speak neither Ukrainian nor Russian and most members of such sites do the same? An English spoken friend (translator etc) can help, but will you marry him/her too? 3)Large cities are better to be visited. First, there are many places where you can go with a woman. And better go to theatres, parks, museums, exhibitions. You come to Ukraine not for feeding your women or to show that you are a tycoon or just spend money. You come here to get to know your women closer, right? So visit such places where you can talk, where she will be a guide. In such a way she will need to talk much. So anyway she will reveal her thoughts, tastes, believes, habits, ideas. The more she will be talk on different topics the more you will get to know her. That is a trick of police officers – to make a suspect talk and if he is guilty then he will make a mistake. This is because foreigners do not often come there, so people are not used to it. 5)Rent an apartment rather than stay at a hotel. This is just cheaper. Besides, again, if it is a town then a hotel may have worse conditions. Better find someone who can help you to find an apartment in a town. If not, as usual you may find such offers at the railway or bus station. 6) Exchange your currency to Hryvnias (local currency, UA) at banks and do not have much cash. 7) It is usual for our women to have a child after her 25. This is because it is more important for our women to settle her personal life than business career. This is also the reason why it is harder to court a woman before her 30. Till then they are more confident that they can manage all problems without help of others. After 30th they begin understand that they need a man, to be loved and protected. This option I am writing from my own experience. Though you should know all these. 8)Some of you say that he does not want to spend much money for women. Do not buy her a gold ring on your first date, otherwise you will be really a fool or she will think you just want to have sex with her today and that is all. At the same time be normal. It is normal (or even a must) here to pay for her in café, restaurant, cinema etc. You may also present some gifts, like a perfume. That is ok because you are meeting here now for making a family and both of you know this, your meeting is special. You know, just have common sense. 9) Where to find a woman if you are in Ukraine? Guys, anywhere! It depends on who you are and what you like to do. Is it possible to find a woman in a park? Of course! This is a good place if you are a photographer (for example). You may take your camera, watch out a pretty girl and tell her that she is very pretty and ask her whether you may to make a picture of her against the river Dnipro (for example again). Or something like this. Then everything depends from you. But if to run around a park and just come to a girl and offer to have a walk together… well… I do not think she will agree, but you will get a pretty smile:). Need I go on talking about it? I guess you understand. I have already written too much. I do not know whether it is allowed on this forum. So if you want to know any more info you may ask. I taught myself the Russian alphabet and many Russian words, especially those related to relationships. 2. These are women mostly who are genuinely looking for relationships not to scam. 3. Many detail in their profiles whether they talk english and by doing that I can find people that I can converse with and skip the agency scams of translating services. 4. They are free and you are immediately talking with a real person. Downside is that you have to go through a lot more profiles to get responses but in some respects it is fun! I am one of the VERY lucky members who found his beautiful wife back in 2005. She was from Kiev and we visit Kiev every summer as her Mama is still there. Her daughter is now here in New Zealand and experiencing a slightly more diverse lifestyle than she was used to, she is 21 next month. This forum has been great and some of us who have succeeded have stayed on the Forum - to offer advice and I get enjoyment seeing others succeed. PS I see you have already offered assistance to a Passport enquiry – good on you !!! Also - do not take any notice of the odd (odd been the operative word) member who is on here to play games. My classmate left Ukraine several years ago. She lives in the USA, married, has a dog, two cars, nice job and is going to buy a house in a year and is happy. I know another girl who married in the USA three years ago. At the same year she divorced but stayed in the USA. My aunt lives more than 10 years in Vietnam, has two kids and miss bery much for Ukraine. Last year on Kyiv's streets were posters about human traffic. A number of women who left Ukraine and were abused abroad is very big.
