In the CIA World Factbook, there 1.06 males to every female born. At ages 15-64, there are 15,443,818 males in 2008, and 16,767,931 females. That means there are 1,324,113 females or one out of every 12.66 females without a partner. The ratio is not as big as I thought or was led to believe, but I think it is still big. What happened to these men? They say that they are sent to wars, oil fields, they drink too much and also sent to oil fields. Does this account for the difference? He lived in a village outside the city, and apparently was a very heavy drinker. At age 42 he got drunk, fell down, hit his head, and died. It was a tragedy, but when he died no one seemed particularly shocked by how it happened. About 16 years ago, he drank too much, fell down and hit the back of his head on a rock. He stopped breathing. All it took was four quick mouth to mouth breathing from another friend. My friend lives, quite healthy, and very very grateful to my other friend who saved him. I also read one time that CPR could have saved Lincoln. How many threads on this website do you not care about? Why did you see it fit to answer this one? There are hundreds of thousands of women in these websites, if not millions. Dunromin says that the ratio is near 50-50. If he is right, then a very large percentage of these women are not there to look for mates. They are scammers. Men are the fathers, brothers and friends of the women that we are seeking to marry. Who they care about and what happened to them should be of importance. I think it would be prudent for us to learn their ways and to know what will make our wives happy. I don't put much weight on the men in ukraine, that is not a major obsticle. I am looking for a girl with an open mind that is sincere in looking for her partner, whether that be a local or a foreigner. I think biggest problem is to find a girl that loves you enough to leave her country. Girls are closest to their mums and grandmums, that is of importance.........I don't remember a girl saying much about her father or brothers.....of course, just IMHO.......... The reason there are so many women looking for foreign men is partly social and partly economic: as a woman ages in ukraine her desirability for local wealthy men falls off exponentially as she reaches her late 20's/early 30's and plummets to near zero if she has a kid or two in tow (which is a very high proportion of them). The economic factors are that yes the FSU countries are comparatively poor and that there is in general no "comfortably off professional middle class" so few of them will ever be able to earn enough (or have a partner who earns enough ..) to have their own apartment/car/foreign holidays/designer clothes/etc. So unless a girl manages to bag a wealthy local business owner or mobster by the time shes 25 then shes pretty much condemned to to a life of scratching a living, probably living with parents etc. Of course many many of the girls are happy to live this way but the ones on the web sites are the ones that arn't ... To be honest, age really doesn't matter to me but I seem to find most of my girls in 25-32 range. Wouldn't mind having another child, so younger is better...for me. Let's say the bulk of these women are 18-30. Again, I will not look for such statistics, but I have observed it so. In Kiev, Yalta and Zaporozhye, I have observed most of the women, walking in the streets to be that age, at least three to one, I would say. I must say something about women in their 40s or even 50s. Many of them are also in the websites. There are not as much of them in the websites, but they are also lovely. Second, what happened to these men? In Sumy every place I went museum, market, out to eat and so on. I observed very few men the only place I really seen any was when we were shooting pool. In Kyiv every 50 meters or so was a man in uniform on the road and side walk. I wonder if the men migrate to the big city's for work.
