I have not posted here in over 18 months, but I log on and read every now and then. I have recently returned from Dnipropeprovsk, Ukraine, after spending 9 days with my girl. The meeting exceeded my expectations. Her communication skills, English ( a 7 on a scale of 1-10 ), was better than I thought. And, her mother and father were very receptive and there is much admiration between all. My question will come in a moment....... I wish to tell a little about my experience. Because, it has been a long road over the last 3 years since I started this process. And, I realize the toughest part is still ahead. I have met some quality woman from Russia and Ukraine. I have spent a lot of money and have had my heart broke twice. But, I never gave up on the belief that my future wife holds the same values that most of the women in FSU or Eastern Europe have. The experiences and advice I have read here has kept my financial losses and emotional pain to a minimum. I hope those that are starting out on the quest know that it IS probable that they will find the woman they are looking for if they stay persistent and follow some advice given here. My question is regarding the preparation of the K1 Visa. I understand there has to be much documentation to prove to the the government that you have a legitimate relationship with the woman. The main question is, when do you know the relationship is far enough along to start the process? And how much documentation do you need to start? Though I sometimes wonder what goes through some guys minds. When do you know? My question would be is there any difference than meeting a woman in your own country? Do you know then. The biggest difference is just the miles. These ladies aren't some mystic creatures from another world. They are women with hopes dreams and aspirations that many of us have. By technicality the relationship is far enough along if you have made one visit to her country. Though too many guys have done this and ended in dismal failures. Also thought has to go through the womans mind before she leaves for another country. I would have serious reservations about a woman who didn't think long and hard about moving to another country especially one that is so different like the US is to Ukraine.
