She is beginning to work out what she will bring, and what she will leave at her mother's. I don't expect she will bring a huge amount -- clothes, books, photos, lots of momentous etc, but I know they will not fit in her suitcase! So what options are there for shipping/sending personal belonging from the FSU states to Down Under? And what would it cost? Cheers. If you are a frequent flyer you will get extra baggage allowance and if you upgrade or fly business you will get more. Send the rest by DHL. Digitise the photos print them out in Aussie. Tell her to use one of those synthetic bags (stripped colourer ones with zip on top approx 8-15grv at markets – weigh only a few grams) Pack breakables inside cloths in centre and should get away with 22kg’s. You be surprised as to what you will get into them. Plastic wrap at departure airport – cost 50grv. Pick up the rest when you both go back for visit.
