I am posting to ask about the many fake letters and invitations that I receive through Fiance.com.
I had thought that since Fiance.com was a monthly subscription-pay service and not pay-per-letter, that there would be less motivation for scam agencies to send out fake letters; we all know the problems with agency letters in a pay-per-letter system. However, that does not appear to be true because I receive many obviously fake letters and invitations every day.
By fake, I am referring to form letters sent out by an agency and not by the ladies themselves.
I receive between 6 and 8 letters and 5 to 10 invitations every day. What makes the scam obvious is that 5 out of 6 letters will always be from very young girls in Nikolaev. Either I am the best looking man ever to be seen in Nikolaev, or there is an agency in Nikolaev sending out form letters.
My question is...
What is the motivation for the Nikolaev agency in doing this? As far as I know they do not receive any money if I open, read, or reply to these letters, so what is the point of sending them out?
Is it a ploy to keep me interested and continuing to pay the monthly fee? I think that would be counter-productive because the obvious fake letters have me considering ending my membership with Fiance.com because I do not feel I can trust that any letter I receive is genuine.
Strangely, the same situation is true regarding the "invitations", except they are almost always from Kharkov. Apparently the Kharkov agency prefers to send out fake invitations and the Nikolaev agency prefers fake letters.
So, to any members who are in the know, or to any agency representatives who may see this...
Why do the agencies do this and why does Fiance.com allow it?
I am not trying to bash Fiance.com, but I am honestly curious how it would help business and not in fact hurt business in a market that is shrinking and already swamped with scams.
What letter from anywhere can you completely trust? Intial letters can be templates. You're not paying per letter her, open, contact get phone number address. If they don't give you that move on. This isn't rocket science, but it is a business. So if you keep that in mind and sift through the crap, read what other intelligent guys post here you will do fine. Agencies do this because like I said it is a business. The agency isn't there to help you. When you figure that out you will do fine.
As soon as you find a lady you correspond with, move her away from agency attachment. They are programmed that they can't do anything without the agency. It's all bullshit. If the lady really likes you she will follow your lead. Don't put too much into letters, establish a conversation with her via phone.
Just don't rely on the agency to do anything for you.
mike is right. motivation for the agency - business. fiance.com still allows agencies to work as they do represent real girls, and those girls need help. start communicating, you will know in second message if it is form the girl or somebody did it in agency. if you feel the letter is fake, report to admin, we will investigate and remove that agency form fiance.com. fiance.com is not here to police you, or girls. we do police agencies though. if connection is established, get her phone number start talking. remember EVEYBODY has cell phone there. so if she tells you she doesn’t have a phone it is not true. BUT, some very normal girls do not know language well. so make first call with interpreter. otherwise she will be afraid of talking to you over the phone. just follow what Mike said. if she sends you 10 messages telling you that she likes you, and then refuses to give her contact info, after you gave it to her. report to admin. and if you do not like fiance.com , do not use it:)
do you know how the agencies are compensated? I do not know either.
i mean is it a fixed rate? or is it based on the number of 'active' girls they supply to fiance.com.
however it is, this is not a charity. and its up to us to figure out.
what olya said is true. please keep in mind, just because you get an intro letter from the agency, doesn't mean the lady in the profile will not eventually like you.
