If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. I'd go with no expectations and consider if the meeting happens as an added bonus. That's what I plan on doing. Except I plan on having Plan B, Plan C and D-H are already on the back burner. Anyways what do you have to risk, you are right there in California. Think of it as a vacation with a potential for more. Its not like crossing the Atlantic to get to Ukraine or Russia. I have no idea why this girl is in Cabo San Lucas BUT it is a party town only, many people fly down from anywhere in California, been there many times and picked up every time, in fact nightly is not unreasonable. Makes you wonder if she invites many guys to visit her and gets treated royally. Anyhow Elena's probably has the highest proportion of "serious" girls of any of the sites around. " Can't really say cause I don't know anything about marina....but from what little I know, probably not, unless I went with friends and met this girl on side just in case. Cabo is not best place to be alone with no one watching your back. The nice resorts are away from city, so you would need taxi's all the time to get you around. I stay in downtown area where all the action is plus I can speak the language so that is a plus. Where is she staying, what area? Why is she there?? Not a lot of good reasons to be there....and a lot of bad ones.... He will come to Cabo if I go.... you are right, I will go there with ZERO expectations, and just see what happens. I'm told that the night life has pretty much dried up (including the bar at my hotel.) It would seem that the typical date would seem uwise with the current conditions especially in Northern Mexico right now. Language issues, drinking, dining in restaurants, etc. would make you a likely target for the criminal element who have supplanted some of their drug enterprises with the kidnapping of foreign business people for ransom. Last week, the government sent some 7000 troops to the region and I've read that effort has already netted some results. I have co-workers there now who I have been in contact via email all day. Hopefully, this positive trend will continue as I and more of my team mates are returning several more times over the next few months.
