Just need some direction from the experienced people on the forum. I am traveling to Ukraine in 4 weeks. Currently I am flying into Kiev and need to know the best way once I arrive in Kiev to travel to Nikolaev. I have looked at several transport services and they all range from $200-$350 one way. I've looked at flying to Odessa from Kiev and then commuting to Nikolaev. Currently I see on Ukrainefare.com a one way flight from Kiev to Odessa is $118.00. Would this be the best way to go taking an internal flight from Kiev to Odessa and then arranging transport from Odessa to Nikolaev possibly taking the train into Nikolaev.
Thanks Martin, I did check flyuia.com and did find some cheaper prices there which was a nice plus. Now just have to figure out how to get to Nikolaev from the Odessa airport now! Anyone with any ideas?
last time I looked ukrainefare had best price for tranfer, was $60 each way, it is best to have your apt do transfers so youit timing is best.
You should find a roundtrip ticket on aerosvit is $115, that is what I paid
If you are going to meet a particular lady then have her negotiate for a Nik taxi for her to come to meet you at ODS airport, then you can both return to Nik in the same taxi, a Nik taxi will be cheaper than an Odessa taxi.
But, whatever you do, avoid the ODS airport taxi drivers like the plague, they will hound you and hound you, 'net' has some affect, 'phuck off' works a little more effectively although not that much more effectively!
From Kiev (Boryspil) to Odessa you can fly by aerosvit.com (they have 3-4 planes per day).
It will take 1h 20 min for 118$ :)
and then take a taxi from Odessa to Nikolaev or drive by bus. (you will see)
more economic way - use a train Kiev (you will need go from Boryspil to Kiev railway station) - Nikolaev - starts at 19.00 p.m. and arrives about 9.30 a.m next day. Approximate cost - about 50$ for bed in 1st class cabin. You will kill whole day but save money:)
I hear Ryanair are cheaper than both Wizzair & Aerosvit, Ryanair don't operate to Odessa either, they don't even operator to Ukraine ..... but they're cheaper :)
you guys are comparing uia to aerosvit???? my price of $115 was for ROUNDTRIP, unfortunately..the price went up recently so prices are similar, only aerosvit has more flights......i think your $91.50 was one way...check out pricing..............
