How can a girl get a visa to uk ? she ha sapplied for a working holidaty visa as i will be employing her , but has been refused , so is now appealing. thanks for any advice
Well if she doesn't hold an EU passport then she doesn't, automatically, have the right to work in the EU and there's enough people out of work in UK at the moment that would be available for the employment that you have to offer.
Perhaps the mistake was to admit that she was going to be working in UK.
i have a friend here (ukraine) who has tried to go to the uk a few times and always been refused. being sponsored to go to the uk for 'training' or something would probably be better than saying she'll actually be working. assuming you have your own ltd company and can make it look official.
If the two of you might be involved in a relationship then best to be honest with the authorities, whatever sort of visa she applies for then you should need to sponsor it but it will now be on record that she has applied, and been refused, for a work visa and that has probably blotted her copybook and even if you sponsored her for a tourist visa they'd probably believe that she's planning to work and they'll refuse her.
Ok . I understand , it was meant to be a work visa , but things have changed now , she does want a relationship , we both do , but is it possible for her to come here without me going to ukrain ect , it would be very difficult for me to do that and how would i go about the process please , thank s?
Are you sure you're not being scammed for the visa and air tickets (common) scenario?
Basically I'd say you're phucked, she's had a work, or whatever, visa refused and that is now on record with the UK border people.
Under normal circumstances there is something like a 5% chance that you could sponsor her a tourist visa without the two of you having met but with a refusal already on record I'd estimate that now to be a minus 500% chance!
But it sounds like a scam, one minute she's coming to work, next thing she wants a relationship, I'll tell you I love you pacerks if you send me a few hundred dollars, by the way you can book her air tickets online, has she asked, or hinted, that you send money for tickets?
Where is she from, Kazan, Lugansk or somewhere near to Kazan or Lugansk? :)
Pacerks: Some once wrote “We the unwilling, lead by the unqualified have been doing the unbelievable for so long with so little that now we attempt the impossible with nothing.
You are at the latter end. Attempting the impossible with nothing. You will never get any relationship seriously off the ground until you visit her in her country. If you can’t do that, forget it. The hard reality of international relationships are they are not for everyone.
Read Martin’s post carefully. More than likely this will play out until departure day and then you’ll get the distressed email for money.
you don't have a company but stated you'll be employing her.
Interesting.
Many would be damn curious as to the work she'd be doing for you, for payment that is, and I am no exception.
Care to enlighten us?
He doesn't say it, word for word, but read his post of 01 June.
She suddenly decided, in correspondence, that she wanted a relationship with him, had they previously met then such would already have been figured out and, then, he asks if it were possible for her to come to UK without him having to, before that, go to Ukraine.
It's so blatantly obvious, indeed it has 'African scam' written all over it, the Africans favour this one, get chatting online, she says all the right things and 'Mr Gullible' falls for it hook, line and sinker.
Could be African but definately a scam and pacerks has obviously stopped posting because he figured it out, with or without our help, and he's too embarrassed to post further.
im in ireland and they have really cut back on allowing people work visas, now u must advertise a job for one year before you can employ a non eu person
Unless the company is Ryanair, they obviously have an 'in' with the Irish government, when EU national pilots make demands for decent working conditions Ryanair get away with bringing in all sorts of nationalities.
smart martin
law was only passed 2 weeks ago, i have a friend who does the schedules for pilots alot of them are on unpaid leave at the moment we wont see any new ones coming for alonggggggggg time
you have two issues....one is a working visa and the other is a holiday.
My advise to u is to apply firstly for a 6 month multiple entry tourist visa...once that has been granted then apply for the working visa....but htere are strict conditions on offering jobs outside the EC....firstly you must show that a EC national does not want the job...and therefore you have to go further a field ...i.e Ukraine.
Also you need to justify your reasons....for example ..you need a ukrainian speaker....the likley hood is that you will get this from Ukraine....if you need a waitress....and your employee is form Ukraine....you cant justify this.
