I know there is a program you can get that installs on your PC, so all you have to do is hit a key combo, and it will type in Russian. Is anyone using it?? Also, my next computer will be a Mac, is it available for them too. My PC is a XP machine.
I assume you can read and write Russian. Your PC has the necessary info already. Check out changing languages. I would suggest a Cyrillic keyboard. You can buy them on e-bay for about $20. Or at least get the paste on stickers for your current keyboard.
With Windows you can set it up to switch between English and Cyrillic. That way if you get those little stick-ons for your keys you can use the same keyboard to type in both languages.
click the Start button
open Control Panel
open Regional and Language Options
click the Languages tab
click the Details... button
click the Add... button
select Russian
once you've done these steps, a floating "language bar" will appear on your desktop - I dragged mine onto the taskbar
you can conveniently switch languages by holding down Shift and hitting your left Alt key, the language bar will show EN or RU
