Being a bit of a scpetic I could not believe that all these beautiful women can be for real. I have chatted to some women and I have realised that some of them just want to get you tehre like in tomorrow and is apparently so in love with you. As I know that scams do exist I just ignore some of them. I have however met someone that I really get along with well and intend to visit her as soon as I have saved up for the ticket etc (should be in the next few months)I have requested other pics from her (non studio format) and yes I do believe that she actually exists now,lol. Another question that the forum may be able to answer me....Lets say we do get along well and that I really make up my mind to set a date ets to go and visit. What addional fees am I looking at other than airline,accommodation,visa,normal expenses? Do you have to use the agency translator or are there private people available at a better price. Do you know the costs involded maybe? Latsly and most imporatnt question for me. Lets say we do like eachother and even want to take matters further (She decides to come to Sout Africa. How does these agency businesses that they are registered with work. Do I have to pay them a fee???? or is it a total decision between me and her.....(I HOPE THAT IS THE CASE). If you really get on well and some time later the girl may ask you to pay for English lessons and for the cost of a visa and passport. A lot of the girls actualy exist but it is what happens when you arrive to see the girl that counts usualy there are little costs here and there that soon add up to a big cost. You can organise your own interpreter and it will be most likely that the girl might insist on using her agencies interpreter, these can be expensive to the point of 15-20 dollars an hour. Most people here will say that if she insists on using her own interpreter maybe she is just going to milk you and it is common for the girls and interpreters to work in tandem and eventualy they split money that they make on you. The agencies are there to make money, from you. You can do everything on your own. Any lady that insists on using any agency help is not real. You may meet a lady but in the end you will leave empty handed, especially of your money. First of all you have to find your own interpreter who will also be your guide and advisor. You will always pay much less with a person who doesn't correspond the interests of agency. This person will find accommodation twice cheaper, places to eat, drink and meet women with reasonable prices. You will pay less for your taxi and transportation and for interpreting. However, it is not quite true that they all speak mostly Russian - this is true for most people in Ukraine, but some speak mostly or entirely in Ukrainian (mainly in the west of the country). The Ukrainian speakers can certainly understand Russian, so Russian is a practical means of communication - and unlike Ukrainian, it is spoken by many people in many countries. To impress your woman you need to know 100 words in your vocabulary and 20-30 phrases with them. It's an audio based program so if you learn well through audio it could be a good program. I also tried Rosetta Stone but I am not a big fan of their software as it gives no explaination of what words they are trying to teach you. You just keep guessing at the picture provided and hope by the picture and the saying it comes together. I couldn't handle that. The audio pimsleur program has taught me so much in such a short time that I could hold brief conversations with natives of the language. Just my thoughts on it. It gives you a pretty good handle on structure and conversational skills in the 90 half hour lessons. You still need to go on to learn simple words such as cat or dog. Rossetta Stone teaches a different vocabulary than pimsleur and is much more difficult to learn. I used the english version beside the russian one and realized some of the photos I had a problem selecting right in the english version :-). I also used a talking dictionary and typed the words I did not know into it with some success but dictionaries usually have the root word for russian and not the conjugated (with beginnings and endings added) words so even with the dictionary you cannot find all of them. When I was done I also knew the russian keyboard although I cannot type even the 20 to 40 words a minute I can in English. JohnJohn Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 8/29/2009 1:41:31 PM   my simple rule of thumb to weed out girls who are genuine from not genuine is this: 1: does she seem to good to be true. is her behaviour "perfect" i.e does she return letters exactly on time, always write nice things, write the same well structured perfectly interesting letters etc. after 10 years of getting letters from proper RW i can tell you that the letters vary with their mood and are never so uniform. 2: who is getting what out of it. pay per letter, agency fees. intro fees, what? is the amount of money changing hands sufficient to warrant the amount of attention in return. 3: the photos. well, they all look beautiful thanks to the art of the pro photographer, 3 hours hair and makeup and good lighting plus photoshop. when you actually meet them after work or college they look like the girl down the supermarket. its a sad reality, and UA girls are still super hot but they dont walk round looking like kate moss every day. given kate moss doesnt look like a supermodel idea then get over the "oceans of hotties" on the interweb thought, Ive spent over 15 years going there and have to say, some of the agency website girls are the least attractive in the FSU. you should see how hot the girls who dont want to leave are, never midn teh girls dating the russian elite. If agency insists on anything - they can insist on the first time or a date only. why? For security reason of the girl. Cause there is a plenty of problem-giving sex tourist or pedophile shmacks. If the agency does not give you her cell phone BEFORE you arrive - forget the agency. I would not fly half the globe to meet someone I never spoke to on the phone, and never even figured how are we going to communicate? Once you land from the moon, you may find out the girl does not exist, it's the guy who did not even write any messages, he just copy-pasted changing names... If the client insist he wants his interpreter to be blond 90-60-90, tall, huge breasts, etc - then big red flag here with client - does he really need an interpreter or a skirt that speaks basic US English? I have seen to much in my life to be surprised. One of my last clients came to Ukraine to see the girl he wrote 5 letters in 5 months, she replied 4 times. So, 1 a month - I told him upfront, you run into a scam. He did not believe me before he went to Odessa, and saw the girl with his own eyes. She was informed she "wrote" to him an hour before she met him. Now when he ended his tears, he is looking for a real lady in Odessa with dedication of 2 months. I don't think one must have a gift to see and discern the scams. I should offer a service and charge for it. Then you both can do your own thing with no more involvement at all of the agency. I used Elenas Models and that's how it was with me and my RW. Any agency that "forces" you to use their services beyond the above is just scamming you for your money. But expect to spend 10K before it is all said and done. Although from So Africa I do not know travel expense. Expect to travel three times unless you wow! her immediately. Discounting travel, figure a few hundred each trip on just being the smooth operator you are. Three trips, plus visa and getting your lovely back home... Seriously -- 10 grand is not out of the question. There is learning a language-yours/hers. Nickle and dime stuff that adds up and you don't realize it. Before you know it --- if you are not keeping track -- it could go over 10K within a year. But who is counting? Think of it as an investment in the future. Money cannot buy happiness. Money has ruined a lot of happiness. Don't know the point in this but it made sense when I started. Others will be able to tell you the specifics of every day fees. I can only surmise that it is not going to be cheap or easy. So far on my lady i have spent close to 8 thousand UK pounds. It is a battle of nerves sometimes but it is the same if she was English i would be spending money either way. English lessons will cost around 200 dollars a month if she is a fast learner that is a bonus. Phone calls and other expenses add up. It all helps if she likes you and is prepared to play ball. I have found that these women like to be liberal with your money and i think it is because mostly they dont earn good money and see you as a financial saviour. I was shocked at how hard these people have to work for so little. You must not judge them too quickly and think they are all on the scam trust your own judgement.
