I have been in communication with a lady from Kiev (in her 40s) for a couple of months and plan to meet her in Kiev soon flying from London. I was a bit surprised when she told me to make my own way from the airport to a hotel. I thought an airport meeting would be normal. Also many will offer to pick your lady up and drive her to the airport to meet you and then drive you to the city. I did that and all went well. Most will meet you at the airport, since most guys are making anywhere from a 4 to 11 hour trip there. Baron is correct, most hotels you are staying at will have a driver that will gladly pick up your lady and drive her to the airport to meet you. They will also pick her up at the airport if you are meeting in Kiev and she's from another city. I would not discount her just yet... but I woday would be on my guard to see if she wanted to spend all her time with you while you are in Kiev. You could offer to have her picked up and taken to airport to meet you. I don't think its a big deal either way, best to offer though. I don't know how close of a relationship you have, you should know by letters written if lady is warm toward you or not, maybe she is working?...is it a late flight?
