All agencies in Ukraine write letters for girls. You can go to any agency and sit there all day, you will never see pretty girls coming with letters to give them to interpreters. Guys, you have a power to stop this crap. Demand what you pay for. You pay for your letters being translated, so ask for the copy of your letters translated into Russian with a date and signature of the interpreter. You pay for girls letters being translated from Russian into English. Demand the copy of HANDWRITTEN letter in Russian with a date and a signature of a girl. This 2 simple things will kill the correspondence scam. Agencies will simply fail to maintain to fake huge amount of correspondence if they will have to hand write every single letter. The situation now is that all letters are generated by interpreters at the agencies and girls never write a single line, nothing is being translated and if you come to see the girl, only at this point the girl will come to the agency to read your letters and to read what agency was writing to you from her. If all agencies are real and girls really write letters, it must be no problem just to make a copy of a handwritten letter that a girl brings to an agency to translate, and they can send it to you same way as they send photos. It takes only one click. I am going to raise this topic on every single forum in the Internet and I ask you to support my idea. A couple of things though: Does your assertion include fiance.com? I'm not trying to advertise them or anything, but as I don't pay 'per letter', I don't see how the agencies can make money from my letters, so I can't see the benefit to them. Also, I assume you're also exempting (at least in part) Elenasmodels.com, where all girls have private email addresses? Not trying to be difficult mate, I just want to know which mast I'm about to pin my colours to. I really do support a bit of anti-scam action. Maybe some scam-baiting is in order? I hope honest agencies will support my idea too, because that would be easy for them to do and that will help them to eliminate competitors who are fake. Anyway, I really hope that all men will start to demand the confirmation of the job they paid for. I know that some agencies send copies of letters in Russian with girl signature, but those are copies of printed letters. That can be faked easy, I can type a letter in Russian and print it too and add a signature in photoshop. My point is that girl's letter must be hand written. So you can ask 3rd party to have a look at the letter in Russian that the girl wrote and it's translation into English and make sure if that was correct or not. Men think that girls bring letters to agencies and agencies translate it. I have a little experience of this, my wife used to own an agency with her friend in the Ukraine. They initially focused on the Spanish market...yes market for men. The letters were all written by one person, she would initially sit down with the girl get some idea about her and then all the written exchanges took place without the girl being written to getting involved. If a man set money the girl went and picked it up, she would have to pay a small commission on this. Once a man went to Ukraine to visit the girl, there would be commssion on the apartments, the translation was typically $20 to $25 per hour for a good translator, excursions were priced higher for commissions. The list goes on. My wife gave up her partnership when we married beause I felt it would be wrong for her to continue. The business is still a wonderful success out in Ukraine, it has a number of woman that just sit there all day typing out letters to men and enticing them to Ukraine to spend their money. Even if the girl does not get any presents she will get a little from the apartment rent. I do and I did and we both accept that the translation is not perfect but it does the job; both ways. Very simple actually, just do it yourself. I always sent my letter in both English and Russian; most women requested this. This way they can practice their English but have the Russian translation there to help. And by me doing it, those that needed to use the Internet cafe didn't chew up time and money translating on their own. This happened to me in AOB. The agency took 10%. AOB maintained they knew nothing of this. Yet, when I complained, they wanted proof, papers and everything. Guys, if you must send money, do not do so through letters through these websites or agencies. The purpose was to entice men to send money to women they had never met or entice them to come to Ukraine and spend money. This is taking advantage, abusing trust....scamming. I had to. I wanted to ensure a successful meeting. Her phone was broke. I sent money for that. What if I landed in Kiev and I could not get a hold of her? The second time was for travel expenses and apartment rent for one day. Each time, the agency (Edem Club of Kerch), took 10%. The second time, an agency representative went with her to the bank to ensure they got the "proper" percentage. I realized that once the lady might be a scammer, and I was prepared to lose it. The women are just the slaves. The agency using their profiles and getting them to meet the men if the men are fool enough to actually turn up. This is the business and it's a scam. The target is reeled in with sweeteners and words of encouragement. This bullshit happened to me and although the woman developed enough feelings for me to come clean about the whole thing I walked away. That's really stupid, because when they finally meet a man who they really like he walks away like you Kirkland. That's why if you have to use an agency, don't write to girls there, just show up one day and use agency for introduction only. You pay like $25 to meet each girl and if she likes you, she will do her best to make sure she has direct contact with you without any agency involved, real girls don't like agencies too. Use an agency that allows you to obtain the private phone number and email of your lady and take her away from the agency. Then through your myriad of correspondence using various media, you determine if she is legit and her you also and then if there is the interest, you agree to meet. There is no doubt she was at home. She was getting junior ready for school in the morning. And as we were talking I was looking at her profile. Suddenly it turns up that she is "online now" !!! I told her about it live time and she said it was impossible. And thinks that the local agency she used went on line under her user id ... etc... She did not have internet at home. But she certainly did have a phone that we were able to talk many times. Interesting, though I believe she was for real. Especially when she said she would take me ice skating near her home -- and other things. I contacted the Mother agency -- EM and explained what had happened. I was told that there are sattelite agencies that are used as a go between for Elena's Models. They wanted to know the id and information about the lady in question and said that yes, sometimes local agencies will do that. Even though I truly believed this girl was the real deal, the doubts put into me by that event led me to not visit with her. Too bad for her that a local agency - intermediary - threw up flags for me. I would say that she was aghast at what happened. She was truly a doll! The fact that she explained the process to me and detailed how I’d been duped seemed to be neither here nor there as far as she was concerned. In coming clean about the whole thing; how do I know she wasn’t trying a different tack in order to keep me interested after I went home? A leopard doesn’t change its spots. This girl is an interpreter and tells me that Dream marriage now has a policy where all women have to be on cam twice a month. The women also have to hit a target for chat also per month and the penalty is getting kicked out if they fail to hit targets. This info came from an interpreter and it shows that some women end up being no more than money making slaves to the agencies. The reward is a guy turns up buys her gifts etc etc. The agencies turn these girls into pro daters and it is suggested that very rarely will mr right turn up for these girls because they are only interested in the money that they get. Many of the managers of these agencies end up being virtual pimps to these girls, they pay for their internet offer them holidays to Turkey and we all know what happens there, they slip them drugs etc etc. this is how the girls get hooked into the agencies and never come out until they get booted out as a scammer. I know of one girl who ended up with a serious drug problem as a direct result of her involvement with her agency and its manager. It happens and it is still happening. They did not initially focus on the Spanish market, the clients were of all different nationalities, then a good Spanish contract, it had become a very lucrative contract, but best friend (owner) became enraged, she was furious, I was sitting next to her in a Zaporozhye restaurant at the time, when she learned that Mrs B. whilst away interpreting in Kyiv, had worked in cahoots with the lady (date) to scam the Spanish guy in to buying a Honda sports coupe (or similar) for the lady's, somewhat, elderly mother! And Mrs. B gave up that job, not partnership, once she had bled me dry of financial support, as documented on particular website(s), and she was forced to go and get a proper job that paid a regular income. And her friendship with that best friend terminated once best friend realised Mrs. B had scammed her out of $5,000.00. Where do you think these girls get groomed into this way of life, it is the money grabbing agencies and the pimp like attitude of some of the managers. As for my girl i met her at D.M and luckily she liked me and is very serious about me, we talk often by phone we chat out of the agency now on messenger and when i visit her we stay together at no cost to me. Yes Olga you are right the girls do get a choice and if they like you they will go for you. As i say the agencies are a grooming ground for corruption and explotation of some of these girls by some managers who want to turn these girls into no more than money making hookers.
