This is my first post here...
I believe that on October 14th the dialing codes in Ukraine will be changing, has anyone info on that please?? I live in the USA and currently dial 011 380(international) 536(city) for landline...and 011 380 50(cell)...many thanks people.
You can call:
to Kiev +38 (044) XXXXXXX
to Nikolaev +38 (0512) XXXXXX
Kiyvstar mobile +38 (o67 or 068) XXXXXXX
MTS +38 (050 or 066) XXXXXXX
For example if you want to call me just try +38 (066) 2674675
emergency numbers:
rob-ralf, international dialing codes, such as you are using, will not be affected. My mobile's phonebook is all in international format (starting with +), so all of the numbers will still work.
The biggest change: INSIDE Ukraine, people are used to dialing 8 as a prefix to a region code, for example 8 0 536 for the town of Kremenchug, or 8 0 50 for MTS mobile, or 8 0 44 for Kyiv. The 8 will be dropped - the initial zero, will announce the region code, so 0 536 for Kremenchug, 0 50 for MTS mobile, etc.
Another important change: the region code for towns in the Kyiv oblast, other than Kyiv itself, will change from 44 to 45. So calling to the city of Kyiv will begin 0 44, but calls to other Kyiv oblast cities (such as Brovary, Boryspil, Slavytych, Ukrainka) will begin 0 45. This is the only change that will affect international dialing! So if your sweetheart lives in Bila Tserkva, you must dial her differently, starting 14 October...
