Hello, I am new to the forum and have seen some very informative posts. My question is slightly different. Does anyone have any information on the following situation....If a Ukrainian citizen enters the U.S. on a J visa for a 4 month work/travel visa for the summer is it possible to change status legally to a F1 language school visa while in the U.S.?? (providing NO residency requirement and proper financial support are taken care of) If yes then once you go back to the Ukraine would it be very difficult to acquire any other type of visa in the future due to the fact that you changed status during your stay in the U.S. instead of returning on the original J visa work/travel date?? Any information would be greatly appreciated.........Thank You
Before someone says this in a rude way... this forum is mainly for men from the West, who are seeking romance with women in the Russian-speaking world.
Most of the knowledge and experience here about visas to the U.S. has to do with marriage and family (fiancee visas, etc.). The question you are asking is a quite a specialized one. It is only if you are very lucky, that a person on this forum will have a good answer for you. If I were you, I would only trust information from people who know deeply these types of visas.
Some of the men here recommend www.visajourney.com, but again that website is for family visas (spouses, children, etc.) This is very different from the kind of temporary work visa and student visas you are asking about.
She needs a sponsor (or her own money) to cover all the expenses of the studies she plans to undertake.
After she returns to Ukraine, she needs to qualify again to any visa she petitions. If she has the money, that is not a problem. Otherwise, she will most likely be denied.
