I just joined MyPoppet.com site a couple of days ago after visiting it for some time. I got the impression that it's not too different than the other online matrimonial sites out there. The vast majority of ladies who've contacted me are much older than I am (like over 5-10 years).
Anyone out there know anything about this website? Is MyPoppet.com scam or not? Any comments will be appreciated.
Hello! I am using MyPoppet since 2009. I corresponded with several ladies and then I chose the one. I ordered her personal email address. We write emails each other every day. I also called her several times and we chatted with a webcam. It is very important to me to be sure that the lady is real and does not play jokes with me. I hope this is not a scam. MyPoppet offers tours to Moscow. I am going to visit her in May. I will share my experience later.
After corresponding with your chosen lady . I suggest you send some flowers to her home address and get a photo of her receiving them . From my own experience of doing this, many genuine ladies are pleased to receive such a gift.At least that will establish she and her address is real.
Personally I used the services of a good man in Lugansk that will do the flower and photo service.
I can't even believe that anyone would take a website calling themselves "My Poppet" seriously never mind consider parting with money in the direction of!
MyPoppet.com is not a scam.
The company is bit expensive, but it worth. The girls are absolutely gorgeous! I have been using MyPoppet since April 2009, I traveled to Moscow and I liked it. The translators are excellent. Service is professional. It is good site and staff will help you if an person need some help about anything at this site. The staff is very nice group of people with good understanding what an person need at their site.
You didn't give your age, Joe, but being contacted by older ladies is actually a positive sign - scam profiles are usually young and glamorous.
I took a quick look at the site, and in the age range of my interest (30s) the profiles I looked at all had the "look and feel" of genuine marriage-seekers. Out of the 12 or 15 I looked out, I didn't see one that had the usual indicators of someone looking for cash or gifts.
So in this respect, the site looks way above average, to me!
However, I personally would not use and pay-per-letter site. It's a mighty expensive option, to do the amount of correspondence I would need to search out good candidates for marriage. And it is often recommended on this forum, not to use pay-per-letter.
Well Dale's testimony looks as fake as it looks commercial advertising.
I just had a quick look through the testimonials on mypoppet.com, the most recent testimonial from, supposedly, a satisfied client is, on the site, dated May 2009 yet, on a domain search, the site was most recently modified during April 2009, one month before that testimonial is dated:

Now, it doesn't take Einstein to figure out that something is amiss and mypoppet are being hosted by bluehost.com of Utah, USA for circa $6.95 per month, how much do mypoppet.com charge per letter? :)
Hi, guys! Honestly speaking "MyPoppet" is very strange name for à dating agency. :) I’ve been using MyPoppet for one year and would like to share my experience. The overall experience is 7/10. The translation is good. Romance tour service is good too. But there was a period when I could not get any response from the company. The problem was solved when I checked my ticket history. I did not get any email notifications on my free yahoo email addresses. Probably their servers were blocked by popular mail servers such as yahoo. When I used gmail account it worked fine, I got their reply very quickly. I am a web developer and I would suggest them to change their hosting company and servers to prevent these problems. Although I like MyPoppet service. My advice - find a woman with significant English skills.
Thank you guys for your comments. The website is bit expensive for me but I will try it. I like one girl there ;) I will write here later and tell what I think about it.
I thought the testimonials were quite funny. I'm sure if you examined the text and style you'd find they were written by the same person...probably the same person who writes the ladies's letters.
I also think sending flowers to check a lady's address is funny...but not for the lady.
Other funny things:-
The diaries read like Mills and Boone,
6.99 per letter,
No price for the comprehensive package to Moscow..maybe Mr Gornall ot Mr Dale could enlighten us in this respect.
Funny also is how these two appear out of the blue as soon as Mr poppet.com is mentioned.
My opinion..fish..
Both Gornall & Dale have two word and underscore member ID's, just a hunch but I reckon an IP location search by the lovely Olga might have a tale to tell on these two, supposedly different, individual(s)!
Hi Joe, hi guys, I am also a member of this site and got many letters from beautiful russian ladies. I suppose pay-per-letter system is a waste of money, I do not recommend using this system. I will spend several hundred dollars to read and answer all these letters. It is too expensive. But I chose another way. They sell lady's contasts if she does not mind. I purchased lady's personal information and do not pay for translation any more. She writes emails directly to my mailbox and I translate em with google translate. It is not easy to talk by phone with her, but I can hear her voice and it is cool! Little by little she learns English. Hope we will meet this summer.
I'm of the impression, now, that this thread was merely started to commercially advertise a website that, I'm confident, most, if not all, of the members of this forum had never heard of.
A scam is a deception, not neccesarily a financial deception, it's something dishonest, a dishonest scheme or a swindle. Dale cites that mypuppet! is not a scam, he seems very sure in that, so perhaps Dale would care to explain this deception:
On the website are a quantity of, supposed, satisfied client testimonials, other member(s) here have remarked regarding the appearance etc. of these testimonials, and the most recent of those testimonials is written, and dated, supposedly, on 20 May 2009.
Yet a domain search of the website revealed that the most recent modification (upload) to the site was made on 15 April 2009, that means that no uploads or changes have been made to the site since 15 April 2009.
So, the question is Dale, how the phuck did a testimonial dated 20 May 2009 get on the site on or after 20 May 2009 when no uploads/changes have been made to the site since 15 April 2009?
For anyone that might not be picking this up, that client testimonal of 20 May 2009, and probably the other client testimonials also, is a scam, a deception, it is fraud, it was not written on 20 May 2009, it was written on or before 15 April 2009 and one can only presume that mypuppet have special powers whereas the already knew, some 5 weeks before the testimonial was even written, that it would be arriving and the precise wording of it.
Martin, I do not understand you. You speak not like a professional.

The information above means that domain information was modified on April 2009. For example, domain contact information, server IPs and other technical information. This does not mean that the site content was not updated. You should ask an expert before writing this! Shame on you!
I am a member of this site and I know that it is updated almost every day – news, articles, profiles, etc. It seems that you just live on this forum and criticize everything.
Well, Martin. It is interesting to know… And what dating site would you recommend to Joe??? Please advertise something.
Would you care to answer how you suddenly found yourself to this forum to talk, only, of mypuppet when any reference to the site IT, on this forum, wasn't showing up in the search engines at that time?
Is it just a coincidence or ......?
AnamCharaid,
Ignore Jim's Agency Scams list, Jim is as corrupt as many of the agencies, an agency gets on his gold list because they pay him money, if they decline to pay they go on his grey or black list.
Hi Martin, I do not want to argue for the sake of arguing.
I often visit this forum because I am interested in russian dating. I did not write here before because I had nothing to say. When I saw this post I answered because I know mypoppet by experience.
I like this forum and want to thank everyone who shares his instructive experience. Hope Joe will find his happiness with a Russian girl as I did.
