I agree with MC - I know plenty of Ukrainians who don't want to drive in Ukraine. Dreadful roads, vague rules, majority of drivers never took a test, police only interested in fining you for bribes.
You are going to have to get a map. Kosiv is only a village. It is off the H18 south from Ternopil. If you are planning to drive, it will be a long trip. The H18 splits from the H19 and they triangulate Kosiv with the M2001. The roads to Kosiv are country roads from those 3 highways. There are at least 4 different names for Kosiv and those roads might be posted with any or all the names. It should be possible to get there by bus from Ternopil and Ternopil from Liviv
If you do use a personal Taxi driver (as we do when there) make bloody sure he knows the way.
Our chap who has lived in Kiev all his 45 years got lost taking us to Cherkaasay (approx 200ks down river from Kiev)
We ended up going completly the wrong way by 170ks and turned back just before the Belrussian boarder. That day was aborted and he got it right next day - we didn't pay his 3grv per k that 1st day - so I got to see alot of nice countryside for free - wife not happy but !!!!
I don't know if you are accustomed to travel in Ukraine. I have rented an automobile and driven across the Crimea. My advice is to have a good highway map. I saw some for 20 to 40 U.S. dollars. Have a phone and a Ukrainian SIM card so you can get direction or translation if necessary. Watch your speed, especially in the posted zones of the villages. There are police regularly patroling and stationed near the villages. Look at Goggle Earth at the road several times. You can get a good idea of the topography and general direction you will be traveling. Look past the roads you are expecting to travel so in case you overshoot them, you can back track. The H19 and H18 are the same road for much of the trip before they separate Most important study the different spellings of the same cities and towns. It can be quite confusing. Good Luck on your journey
Because it isn't the ocean and the roads are mapped to your Tom Tom,,,,,if there is a market for it. Maybe in 2009 he could have used a sextant and a chronometer, or just stopped off at a McDonalds and asked for direction. Still, your points are valid and the delivery is contagious. Next my opinions will be delayed before posting too.
I was lost in my driveway and the TomTom didn't show it. Good thing I have a Thomas Guide, it has my driveway shown, so I was able to find my way to the house
And your response was so predictable. I assume that like maps, dignity was lost to you with your grandfather's continence. You now, even have contempt for those you should respect most. You were in fact baited, by the master…. Again
Hey Sonny, Might be he doesn't want to sit in an airport for a week because it's dusty outside or maybe he's on a no fly list or his wife died in a plane crash and he is afraid and just wants good advice and to be dealt with a little human kindness...... Just like another person that wrote on this site a few months back. He too felt he was treated unfairly.

Yet he's allowed to continue to post here. Abuse, profanity, no advice and insults: check, check, check and check.
