Is there a site for finding women for marrage that do back ground checks on there women seems there are a lot of scams out there were do I start looking
There are certain individuals in cities that will help. For example in Lugansk there is a man called alex that will do background checks on ladies. He is very helpful
I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record, but try elenasmodels.com. Any profile with the badge "Confirmed Profile" on it means that the staff at the (famously honest) site/agency (because it is actually an agency) have checked out the girl in question, and believe her to be genuine.
There are scammers on every site, and EM does get them, but they're generally better than most, and that confirmation declaration is a pretty good indicator.
No excuse not to keep your wits about you, though. Even an iron-clad background checker can't protect you from every kind of scam. You're ultimate defense is your own common sense, no matter what site.
The good thing about EM is that you will get a true response to your profile and not dozens of little 20 year old scammers replying. The downside is that the women on EM have literally thousands of letters each to reply to and you may end up being one of many.
I'm beginning to think that an organised trip with a social event attached to it might just be the way as long as you can do your own thing over there and visit night clubs etc to meet women on your own as well.
There is no such thing as a catalogue of Russian Brides all eager to escape their drunken men and poor impoverished lifestyles. That is the line that agencies often say as well FSU dating is big business and a business needs to make money. So think twice if a sexy little 18 or 20 year old says she loves you after two letters!
As I remember from the website, the "Confirmed" badge on elenasmodels is supposed to mean that they have looked at her passport, and presumably that the photos are really of her! Don't take it to mean anything else! Some of the profiles are quite obviously from gold-diggers, and/or very young women with no evidence of serious intentions.
As Muzzy said, EM has its share of scammers etc. But it seems to have a higher percentage of genuine women.
The best gauge I have found is to contrast her looks & age vs the age range she is seeking. In other words 20 YO model looking for 35-55 YO man == forget it (unless your very wealthy). An older not-quite-so-outrageously-attractive looking for someone 10-15 years older than her max, is a much better bet.

I would have agreed with you 100% (about unprofessional pics/family inclusion) until I went to meet 2 belarusian's, from Elena's Models.
The first sent a taxi driver to meet me at the airport who wanted $400 to take me to Gomel (from Minsk) but I had arranged for a travel guide from BSP to meet me at the airport with visa stuff. Firstly he told me I was being charged far too much. Then he actually recognized the driver as someone who is well known for working with the Elena's Models scammer (she was calling herself Masha Kebikova). The guide told me of all nationalities of men who had been lured over. One Norwegian guy actually ended up being driven over the border into Russia (with no Russian visa!). It could have been very bad.
Then, in Gomel, I went to meet the infamous Anja Menshykava.
She introduced me to her son and her mother but I soon got suspicious.
Later I learned she is also a well known scammer
So your idea's on scam-proofing are not air tight, my friend
