Had a great time in Kiev with the guy I took the skoal to. just spent the last few days meeting some friends here and going to the village. I can recommend the new Italian restaurant in Sumy a bit pricey but the food was fantastic. did an excursion to Kharkov to get some pictures and see the zoo, wasn't bad really but the agency was involved so took a taxi and was over charged. The monkeys are the best - all in one big room (in separate cages), and you can buy fruit to give them, which is entertaining :) It's not a long walk from the city centre, either. It is at the rear of the park, behind the Opera Theater. It is named "Nemo". It is modern indoor aquatic arena. The children will like it and it is entertaining for adults too. On the other side of town, there is a Aquapark that is quite large and a great time. It is indoors and I was there is the middle of winter. It is a tropical theme and a "Barefoot Bar" and restaurant. Bring your own bathing suit or buy one there for 20 dollars for the ladies. Secure locker room and nice atmosphere. I think the admission was about 15 or 20 dollars. It is likely advertised non the internet. Yes, I was dragged to the ballet too. All I can say right now is I'm planning another trip to see her as soon as possible. The zoo was fun but didn't have time for the water park.
