There is very little real discussion about how to really do it and zero discussion about those who have been successful and how they accomplished that. I don't mean to brag but with my hard work in the beginning, and my being honest with myself and with her (and she with me), we are now just living the dream that so many here can't even get started on. My sister is visiting from out of town. My wife spent the day with her out shopping and visiting friends. Last night we all stayed up late and played 'Yahtzee" of all things. She is treated as a member of the family like she has been here always. We have already purchased theater tickets and made plans with neighbors and other friends for shows into the 2011 season. So yes, if you do your homework and have real expectations it can work. It also helps to have a little luck.
