My wife had this beautiful pair of glasses that were practically new. Very cool Italian frames etc. When she went for her driver's physical they did the eye test. With her glasses on she practically failed. Apparently you don't need 20-20 vision to drive here. She said they were a new prescription etc. I took her to my optometrist and they were way off. Her eyesight did not worsen in six months. She got a new scrip. And since we were leaving for a trip we went to lens crafters and got a quick pair. Then my sister folded them up in the couch console and the were irreparable. So we needed another pair. Got them. But I needed to go back to the eye doc and told her that she should get a back up pair. She couldn't even comprehend having two pairs of spectacles!!!! Too much money to spend for no reason! I had to explain to her that they were free! My company insurance bought them! So she got sunglasses for driving. All I had to pay out of pocket was for polarized lenses. She does bring a sense of humility into my life. And frugality.
