What amazes me is that the heads of state (not heads like the old expression for pot smokers, but it kind of fits based on their stupidity) and the media jumped all over this. They infer that by this knucklehead going forward with this stunt it will place a number of Americans, troops, embassies etc. in harms way. That, by burning this so-called religious document, those who follow this belief will feel the need to retaliate and go on the offensive by killing, attacking or 'blowing themselves up' in the hopes of taking a few non-believers with them. Thereby claiming their place in 'heaven' and their 'fatwa'. So, why all the fuss over retaliation, pissing these people off or starting a 'sticks and stones' contest? No-one (NOBODY BUT ME) has brought up the idea that if these were sensible and intelligent people that they would just have to laugh at this clown for burning their book. These assholes burn American flags and our leaders in effigy quite often. America does not go dropping bombs and killing without provocation - maybe. Surely it is stupid and childish to burn a copy of someones religious doctrine regardless of how you feel about it. But if the United States Government is so f----ing worried that burning the koran will place many troops in harms way... ??? It has got to be the most absurdly ridiculous thinking... If these fears are justified, then the people who are the threat are more f@#/*ing retarded than this minister who is staging this prank. I say, let this guy burn the book and broadcast it live over all the network and wire services and have a live internet linkup to it. s stupid as it is why not just do it? Then let's see how the world responds. If the followers of islam or any other camel jockey or sand nigger wants to take up arms, join the towel-a-ban and declare war on America then let them (I figured I would throw in the racist descriptions for effect). If such an act (burning a book) causes such a response then you have to ask yourself are these people sane to begin with? Nobody in the media talks about it. They just don't want to offend these people because of the retaliation is will surely cause. I say let's burn the book and see what happens. Then analyze it. And if it causes these people to act out against America it just proves they are not fit to live on this world in the first place. "ALL NON-BELIEVERS SHOULD BE KILLED?????" So in order to relate this to the FSU, my wife and I watched "Taking Chance" the other night. When I asked her what she thought of the movie she said she didn't wish to get into a political discussion. I said what does politics have to do with the premise of the movie? She just blurted out, "Why are Americans in Iraq?" I myself am tired of Americans fighting anywhere outside our borders. However it has been conducted differently in the last year. In Los Angeles people sat in their cars for hours with no alternate routes or movement allowed while he was conducting a fund raising party. The First Lady wanted to go to the beach in Spain a few weeks ago and everyone was removed without prior notice. That is completely out of line for all those that planned for minutes, months or years to have a day at the beach and for the first time in her life she should be truly ashamed. I have not seen that movie, but do you remember the series, "Kung Fu"? In an episode, a man dug a pit and threw rattlesnakes in there. This man was about to kill another in revenge for accidentally killing his son. In exchange for not killing the son, the David Carradine character said he would walk through the pit and he did. He explained later that he and the snakes are part of NATURE. He and nature are one. Therefore, if the snakes bit him, it would be destroying itself. I would not walk near rattlesnakes, but many think bees are unapproachable. They are afraid of getting stung. Try shooing them away or swatting them. Of course, you will get stung. I am not afraid of getting stung. I do not want to get stung, but being afraid of bees is not being one. There is are several bushes in front of my place with many bees going from flower to flower.
