One thing that should be considered before making any judgements about hygiene or B-O , is the water in each city??!! I noticed it too in different cities,, and thought something was a little,,,, off! But after you take a shower,, or especially if you had laundry sent out,,,, it may come back smelling worse than when it left??? The worst city water is in Odessa!! My hotel had their cold water running through some kind of filter, it was considered safe by European standards??? I still drank bottled water! In Sumy,,, they either had very heavy iron in their water,, or the pipes are ancient?!! The water was at it's worst around 8 to 10:00am after heavy demand! After that time,,, their water seemed okay! My laundry was bad in both Sumy and Kiev. The clothes I planned to wear home, had to be re-washed in Kiev,,,, but they were returned smelling the same. You don't want to start a 36 hour trip with stinky clothes!!! I have two solutions! One, bring a change of clothes just for the return flight!!! Two,, bring dryer sheets along,, to change the scent of your clothes!! I'm already writing stuff on my list for next time,,,,, if,,,, there is a next time???
