Writing from Kyiv at the moment. This post really has nothing to do with romance and such...
But my friend's uncle has gone missing since Wednesday night. Her father is searching every place he can think of. I'm certainly hoping he will turn up safe. If I learn more, I will post about it here.
durak!! Ralph's right;,,, be careful!! This sounds like the beginning of something bad,,, a real setup!! If the kidnappers only take American dollars, start shooting!!LOL
Thanks, Ralph. As it happens, this situation has little bearing on me. My friend is not much affected -- it doesn't seem real to her (at this moment). I imagine that her father is suffering deeply. They are trying to get the police to take matters seriously, and just hired a private investigator. As of this writing, he was last seen 6 days and 4 hours ago.
I suppose they will have to be very lucky, to see him alive again. As of now, there are many questions and few answers.
Any news, Mr. Durak? When I was married, my then wife was a confused woman. One day, she was missing. I walked miles and miles around the neighborhood, looking with the police. I went to work the next day and I was called around noon to be told they found her.
Apparently, she was sweeping in the front yard and went home to the wrong house, just two doors from our house. The houses look somewhat the same. The back door was locked, so she slept in the neighbor's garage.
Did I say my then wife? Sorry. I meant my then mother in law. It was my then wife that made her confused, with her verbal abuse. It didn't happen much when I was there because I would defend her, but from what family told me, it happened when I was gone.
Danny, I don't know why you see other men's women the way you do, but you got to learn to be more respectful. However different you perceive your woman to be, she's not that different.
For that reason, I am going to keep the discussion of my woman at a minimum.
As of Friday morning, he was missing more than 15 days, with no news.
My friend is still hoping that her beloved uncle will return. I worry that she will be devastated, if he is found dead. She hopes that he will return on Easter -- it would be a fitting miracle of resurrection, indeed.
PS Glad to see you again, rb. I was a bit worried that something had gone wrong for you.
Thanks for the info, bowhunter. I didn't plan on leaving, but everyone was angry with me. While that doesn't matter much to me, or else I wouldn't post such things, I thought maybe perhaps I was wrong and drop the point I was trying to make. As some of you can see, I did not drop it, but perhaps I should focus on more important things.
