there's some truly backward stuff going on in those parts but i wouldn't put the label muslin on it. its very possible the police have come up will this idea, they are rather good and protecting others. often nothing is what it seems, more so there, possible manipulation for another's greed and easy to blame the local natives. for me its difficult to see this girl cruising the tartar community dressed and moulded into the hopeful upper high life they are suggesting,, who knows maybe, but i think something stinks. its difficult trusting most police investigations here, let alone Ukraine's.

I have been to Simferopol and Yalta, I have read this forum and I keep up on the news. Since this is the first time I have seen trouble like this, I tend to believe kiwinorth more, knowing what the police is capable of. I don't think Islam is evil. There are evil Muslims, as well as evil Christians. What backward things happen in those parts? I ran into a website once showing one minute clips of nudist camp(s) up there. Yes, I looked at them, but I didn't buy the one hour videos they were advertising for. This is not that unusual since there are nudist camp and beaches here, if you know where to look. I never did ask her, but I have a feeling the lady I visited in Zaporozhye has been there. She told me she worked in the sea of Azov during summers. She had no nudity inhibitions. She would walk around the house in her thongs, in front of her 12 year old son (yes, a-- showing). She would change her pads in the restroom and not bother to close the door.

Huffington Post says she was actually Christian. And was possibly raped and killed by an unbalanced classmate. Sounds like it might be hysteria aimed at Muslims to me. There is a lot of that going around.

I agree with the posts above (except Sooty). According to the news stories, there are multiple reports about this young woman and the circumstances of her death, and I see no data that tells which are facts and which are fiction. In much of the FSU, a big percentage of cops are crooks who wear uniforms. Who knows what their agenda is? Maybe after a while, better information will become available.

yes i agree with these posts too,- as we all know those people that flew the aircraft into the tower on september 11 2001 were not muslims but were in fact white christians. those lot that killed over 300 at the school siege in beslan in 2004 was not done by muslims but was in fact done by christians jews hindus and taoist monks. anything else is all just hysteria against muslims.

RB, i'm sure those Aussies would love the sound of that, only thing missing is the gallons of beer. backward,, what i was referring to is the treatment of animals. to see jaguars bears eagles alligators and many many other once proud wild animals in Tatar communities de-clawed, teeth filed, in the sun with no water, collared with chains was just heart breaking. the average Ukraine or Russian also need their heads read, for they are most of the reasons for it. even with the Tartars claiming poverty, to chain a wild animal to any post or what ever for a tourist dollar is just shameful. they seem just plain dumb to this.
