Her agency kept pestering me to meet her. Her agency translator Marina, told me of Oksana being very sad I had missed the set up meeting. So I promised on the way back thru I would date Oksana. Marina showed up at my hotel with her driver and took me to the office. I waited there about 10 minutes and in walks Oksana. My god for 42 she is simply stunning. We leave for dinner and drive perhaps 15 minutes ( I found out later from another man I know his same cab ride was 70) when we get there Marina says we can pay for the cab on the way back. Red flag. So I ask her how much. She says she doesn't know so. I send her over to find out. 200 hvyrna. Ok so I'm thinking 100 too much but who cares. We go have dinner and Oksana was the picture of a warm woman she was very sweet all night. So we leave, get back to my hotel. I pay 400 for the cab, I pay Marina a slightly high translator fee, then Oksana says she needs 200 for a cab ride home. I had a great night although I now realize it was fake so I gave her 200 too. Since then she won't write back but she does open my letters. I don't know, I figure they got a total of $50 extra from me. I would have paid the extra $50 for a perfect evening with a very special(I thought ) lady. If it were real I would be all over this very lovely and sweet woman. When I asked the interpreter about the cab fare she says "I'm just translator", even though she showed up with him and they were obviously good friends. She then says if I was o recharged I should have said something the night before because she isn't aware of usual cab rates giss Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 6/7/2011 3:43:21 PM   Ok I have spoken with Oksana and she says she was not involved in the scam. Perhaps she is unfamiliar with taxi prices so she didn't know. Now the agency who provided the driver and translator I don't feel can claim that so I have sent two notes to the administrator asking they remove this post. Whomever in Ukraine that tells you that they are not familiar with cab rates are deceiving you. If you went to the best resaurant in town and spent 1,000 UAH for dinner then you were severely overcharged. Translator fees are typical 50 to 75 UAH per hour, if you paid more you were ripped off. Sounds like you had an expensive date with a beautiful woman... I have done this before also... live and learn. Good luck in your search! She is very sweet and as you know, absolutely gorgeous. I have been dating her for a year. She and I were engaged in Paris in December. She will be immigrating to the US in a few months. Regarding her need for cash. She makes very little and its pretty common for women in Ukraine to expect a man to take care of expenses when out on a date. You are marrying one of the classiest authentic women I have ever met in my life! Paying her expenses was definitely not even a point of contention, it was a $100 cab fare and the $20 per hour translator fee that put me off. I would have returned to see her again but she would not agree to use another translator. Marina I simply did not trust. Honestly if I could have separated her from the translator I would have certainly returned to try and meet her again. She was a shining example of the best a woman can be, stunning both on the inside and the outside. Meeting her is an evening I will always remember fondly. When looking back in life she will always be a what if.
