I have met a wonderful person..she lives in Russia..No mention of money or anything like this...we want to meet..she has friend who works in travel agency who states it would be easy for her to get B2 Visa to USA? Any thoughts on this? I was under assumption it would be difficult to get..if she could come here, would this count as one of the requirements for a K1 Fiance Visa? thanks
You will likely find that a request for money comes next to attain a visa for her. Tradition is that you go to meet her first. That is the way of the world since the beginning of time. If you suggest that you go to meet her on her own ground, it might become the end of your correspondence. After you meet , you are on your own. If you are welcomed to meet her, post again on the specifics. You can get good advice here if you wade through the bullshit.
If this lady has a job, home, assets and a reason to return home, she can get a tourist visa. It is easier to get a visa if she has ties to her community. If she has traveled and has a well stamped passport it shows a record of returning home. The greatest prejudice is that of economics. Don't place the cart ahead of the horse, a fiancee visa should follow your established relationship. I had a woman come to meet me from St. Petersburg on a tourist visa. She attained it on her own and traveled to the U.S. by her own means. We had a great week together, but there was no real connection between us. She was quite successful in her profession and traveled extensively,, not likely to really leave all behind.
