There are a few negative posts that I have to ask, "What were you thinking?". Other posts I have to ask, "How is this different from dating any woman from any country?". I read one post that told of his wife leaving him after two years. Does this not happen with U.S. women? She claimed abuse and attempted to issue a restraining order. Again, does this not happen with U.S. women? It has not happened to me because I am looking at getting married for the first time. It may happen. I hope not, but I am not about to say every woman from her country is a gold digging bxxtch. This is like saying that all American men are rednecks that drink beer all day and beat there wives. My point is that such gross generalizations are ridiculous. Use the same common sense you would use while dating a local woman. If you are 63 and she is a 22 year old American girl, what would be the likelihood that she would date you? If so, what is the likelihood that she wants your money? It doesn't change when you are looking elsewhere. There are reasons that this girl says that she wants you. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but there are a few men on here that did treat there wives like shXX. Once again, it is a gross generalization to say that ALL U.S. men are manipulative controlling wife abusers. I have had American girls give me hard luck stories of why they need money, and I delete there number. This is before there is a deep relationship. In the end, the problem may be our individual criteria we use to choose women. Use your common sense. Get a woman near your age. You will have more in common with this woman any way. Do not tell her of the great amounts of money you make. Do not show her pictures of the wonderful boats or cars you own. There are some women on these sites that will quit talking to you. This is the girl you should be after, but you just ran her off. Honestly, if she looks like a supermodel, then why would she pick you. Every guy on the website is writing her. Actually, the most of russians(and from sov.c) consider foreign mens not so perfect as it claimed on the different web sites and agensies(marriage).The most of fsu(Former Soviet Union? as i could understand this word) consider foreign men (espesially american) greedy, heartless, not romantic,considering that R wife must be grateful to F husband for life in your country and having more money, using them as servant and prostitute,beating their RUSSIAN wives.(but at the same time you are considered as very good fathers and valueing family)Eurepian are famous as taking away cchilds(all of fsu know about france man, which beated his wife took away their daughter,then mockted at her, court took the girl from him to shelter, the mother was allowed to see her 1 time a week and wasn't allowed to speak russian with daughter!!!! the girl was 5 then and she was France and Russian citizen)We know many, many stories like this and more bad .Everybody many times saw/heard the news about the next russian girl,killed or haskneyed by her (most american) husband.This is the STRONG belief in fsu that you are all looking for our girls to use them.The TV shows/speak it regulaly. And now- do think, please who will want a future like this? Why there are a lot of scammers on sites? Because good woman,which can love, wants family doesn't want this. Or,, the stories we hear on the news about Russian women leaving their foreign husbands once they get their Green card!! Or,, the stories of men being poisoned and killed just to get ALL of their money,,, not having to settle for half!!! It is a law passed in the United States that says basically : If you are A US citizen, and you are using an agency to meet prospective wives, you must undergo a criminal background check and provide your criminal history (if any) to any woman you plan to meet, before meeting (her/him). It's interesting that (as fas as I know) Marrige agencies will gladly let you (for a fee) become aquainted with a lady and not bring up the IMBRA until you have actually made plans to meet with a woman (women). Then, the criminal history is given to the lady. The IMBRA law or rules, helps prevent bad men from America from finding a foreign woman. She could be his first??? He could be her first too!!! What we need is an agency and website that is honest!! A working man depends on his employment for medical benefits. the only people in america who get free medical are those with serious disabilities (of one kind or another) and those who are freeloading off the taxes I pay - at last count around 40K a year. it is mostly men with real "jobs" that are seeking women in this manner. whether or not you are just posturing as usual and want to stir up an argument, or that you are totally clueless about reality I can only guess. it is a different reality you live in. anyway, the same old crap goes on. happy new year!!! I believe this person is just trying to make a point. whether or not she (?) is speaking from experience or just generalizing is tough to know. maybe both? to Ves, lonelyranger makes valid counterpoints to your messages. surely he has been a bit crude about it sometimes. but he is absolutely right. it is unfortunate what a terrible game (american men seeking foreign women) this has become. and to be sure, many women of your ilk have cashed in on the opportunities to take advantage of unsuspecting men. I can only surmise that for every man who cries foul there are ten who are too embarrassed about it to let on it happened to them. I recall receiving unsolicited correspondence from very many young girls - bikini clad - telling me I am the man they want. I was wise enough to dismiss it and laugh it off. but surely there are many gullible men out there who fall for this kind of sh6t. it happens much more you are willing to admit. and, unfortunately, to most they only know what they see in an advertisement for these "hot russian women seeking foreign men" dating sites. they read all the propaganda and believe most of it - until it is too late and they are out a few thousand bucks. Even late at night, I still have correspondence to take care of,,, or things to do around the home. If I log into the forum, and see a lot of B$, (mostly by the dunt),, I can get annoyed at the wasted time!! Very few men indeed!! A word that few people know today is,,,, “Responsibility”!!!!! We have a family business, it is open 7 days a week, from 9:00 am till dark!! From time to time,, we will have people calling at midnight,, We are heading home, and forgot to stop in,,, could you open your shop??? Unless everyone is in bed,,, the answer has been; Yes!! As I write this post,, it is 5 hours before New Year’s,,, last night someone called in with an order for wood, and needed it today (31st)! One cord, to be delivered about 40 miles (60-70km) north of us, I loaded it this morning and had it there a few minutes after noon! My Father is 83!! He still works everyday!!! He gets upset when he can’t work!! He doesn’t need to work to make ends meet,, he wants too???!!!! Besides the business, we have the ranch and the cash crops! I handle most of that,,, but my 83 year old Father will be doing the chores here while I am gone to Ukraine. Last year, he slipped on ice during the 2nd or 3rd day,,,, and did my chores limping! Could he have hired someone to do this for him,, sure,,,, but that’s not his way! As for taking a whole year off?? IMPOSSIBLE!!! No one, or single person,,, can do the work I do here!!!! On many of the jobs,,, I am the indispensable man!!! I can recount a few horror stories from throughout the years,,,,,, when everyone here was sick and I put in several full days of work with a 104F fever! Or when the folks went away, and I did everything while having my back out. Or, when they were away, and it was -25F for 10 days! I had this house, my parents house, and the lake house to take care of. Plus the farm and the business. Diesel tractors that wouldn’t start, frozen silo under loaders that are froze tight, and other expensive machines that can’t freeze. All fun stuff!! DUNT,,, you may need to find a dictionary and look up the word; Responsibility!! Ralph,,,, would you be surprised if I told you, that I have only wrote to one woman who had a bikini photo in her profile??? First, The virtual nature of an on-line profile is pure fantasy and no matter how hard one wants to believe what they experience on-line, It is simply not reality. Today I think too many people believe everything they see on Television. When in reality, Televsion is a small portal to view what a programmer has created to entertain you. Televsion shows are art and entertainment, not Reality and Guidelines for social behaviour. The internet a two way television. It has it's practical uses, but for the most part, it is entertainment. Too many people can not separate fantasy from reality. With that said, The internet is a great place for fantasies. I beleive that people from the FSU have a better grasp on this than do most people from the west. Next, the probability of two people (from different cultures, who speak different languages, have different morals, ect.) being compatible, Is pretty slim. If you meet someone on-line, you have not really met anyone. Not until you are face to face. Then if at that point, you like each other, you might as well smell like each other :) I wish more people would see mass-multi media for what it is. Here is an example to illustrate what I mean. A high school student decided to make a video for fun and some laughs. He filmed his fellow students on lunch break and asked them a few simple questions, facts and common knowledge things.. He then edited the video into a 5 min clip and posted it on you tube. Well the video got over 100,000 views and got him in a lot of trouble, why? Because if taken literally as fact, these high-school students don't know who the vice president of their own counrty is.. This got got the media involved, then the government...
