Does anyone know whether a pre-nup signed in Ukraine will actually hold up?? Who are the most secure or reliable banks in Ukraine for planting money?? I'm confident of tieing knot with a smaller town lady who will
not leave Ukraine permanently...Cheers for your assistance.
You should never have all your money in just one Ukrainian bank, just in case...
I have accounts at PrivatBank which is the largest, Raiffeisen Bank Aval and Procredit Bank.
Currently, you can get anywhere from 12-15% interest on your savings accounts which means if you have like 300,000US to retire on or live in country you will live quite well.
Good stuff!!....those interest rates look a bit too good to be true Rick...how's things on the inflation and tax fronts ?? ..did you have funds anywhere else too.. or were you reasonably confident with parking everything in UKraine as long as there was some diversity? Did you have to fill in any extra forms of a non-banking flavour when parking larger sums..or know of such?
Did living there ever wear you down or push you to your limits?
that sounds why to high, there mortgage rates must be through the roof.
they say only 30% of the wealthy ukraines use there banks, they prefer off shore
A couple of months ago, I was in Russia talking with a guy who is very active in real estate. I've completely forgotten the actual numbers, but when he told me about mortgage rates I was shocked: they are very high, compared to what has been common in the US in the past 15 years or so.
