Here is a strange twist. FSU men have contacted me on VK in the past, comparing their countries and the USA economies. They are not happy, but they are enduring. None has asked me to help them get out of the country until now.
I am in contact with a man, barely 18. He wants to get out of Ukraine. I told him the best way I know to get to the US is to marry a US citizen. I have talked to him about costs. We even talked about fixed marriages. I told him, but I don't know well he understood, that this happens, but I will not be a party to such a transaction. He has a fiance, so that's not possible or very difficult for him.
Now, he wants me to fix up his 41 year old father. He says he has $6,000 USD. Again, I told him I will not be a party to illegal marriages. I think he understood and I think his father is prepared to make this a real marriage and will bear the costs of the ordeal.
I know women here. Some I flirt with and I would date, if I wasn't into FSU women. I have not asked any of them. I think some would view of my suggestion to go to Ukraine and talk marriage an insult.
While standing in line at the INS building in Milwaukee, Ira and I met a young couple, a Russian man married to an American woman. We talked for what seemed like hours,,, many hours. They had first met several years before, when he worked for her father. It was easy to see who the boss was,,,, and it was not him! She spoke and he jumped!! Lol
There were hundreds of people in the building though out the day. Most were Mexican or Hmong and only a handful of Europeans. More than 50% of the sponsors (the Americans) were women???!
I think it was on mamba,, or whatever,, where they listed “Sham marriage” as a search option?!! Everybody knows, most or all is a sham anyway!
Some of the folks in my circle know a lot of immigrants. I heard 3 or 4 years ago that the going rate for a sham marriage was in the range of $10,000 to $15,000. This guy may need to save more money!
Sham marriage people that think to do this just help create more problems for the honest person looking to meet that one great friend. Marriage agencies in Ukraine are a joke corrupt and a den of thieves. And yet so many men go there to let these dishonest thieves take advantage of them. In so many ways. Don't you think its high time we stick it to them and throw them back in there place. They have nothing. Those that go there to let them take advantage have no or very little brian power. Man women or whatever take back your dignity
His 41 year old father needs to list on one or more personals websites. There are many international dating websites out there from www.blossoms.com to www.fiance.com where serious ladies (even from the US) would be interested in him. If he really wants to accelerate the process, he needs to learn english, or improve his english, so that he speaks english as well as possible. He will succeed, guaranteed.
No, these were aliens already living in the US, who wanted a "shortcut" to permanent resident status. For this reason, these people were not going the route of applying for K visas.
lonely, its the going rate where ever you are from.
its usually organized by a person already in your country.
the marriage will be with somebody already in the country or someone that has access.
one trying this trick over the net has to be very foolish.
desperate(times) always creates opportunity for others.
Yes, the current rate is about 10-20k plus expenses. Ive been asked several times to do myself or help find someone. since Americans only have 2 lifetime shots at it due to current law, Its just not worth it to me.
However, there are probably many American women willing to do this due to our current economy.
Ive brought people to US a variety of ways, mostly work visas, but know this is a pretty big market.
Lower icome women over 40 are the best candidates for this and are plentiful!
"Marriage is not to be taken lightly. Marriage is a commitment between a man and a woman to live the rest of their lives together. I will not participate in looking for a woman for anyone that does not have this commitment."
This guy has been stalking me on VK. He leaves me PM's and PM's me when he sees me online. I just emailed him the above. Thanks guys. Your responses helped me think this through.
Bo problem to answer RB.
The INMBRA law allows people only 2 oppurtunities to bring a person to the USA via K1 in their lifetime
without applying for a waiver, which is seldom approved. Look it up yourself, you will see.
I’m curious about that too Rick! I have often wondered about the restrictions on foreign marriages, how soon and how many?! I’ve been through a foreign marriage, jumped through all of the hoops, paid the fees, and when the marriage ended,,,,,,,, nothing??! No follow ups, no forms to fill out, nobody asking about her whereabouts.
She raced home to see her dying father, took care of the funeral, settled the estate, and supposedly sold their flat and country cottage with a car and a garage, then decided to stay!
Did the INS or customs and immigration, get verification of her leaving the country at the airport?
It’s an unfinished chapter.
This is a cut and paste from Wikipedia. Those lawmakers must have had a lot of time on their hands. There are more ways other than a K1 to sponsor the Naturalization of a foreigner. It is strange to me that the limit is only placed on K1.
"Limits Placed on How Many and How Often Fiancé(e) Visa Petitions May be Filed; Petitioners with Violent Criminal Records Barred from Serial Sponsorship. IMBRA limits a US petitioner’s sponsorship of K1 (fiancé(e)) visas to 2 total, with no less than 2 years between the filing of the last approved petition and the current petition. A petitioner may seek a discretionary waiver of these limits from DHS. However, DHS cannot ordinarily waive the limits if the U.S. petitioner has a record of violent criminal offenses. (Section 832(a)(1))"
I wouldnt think so, RB. Its far easier to get someone over on a work visa if yourself or a friend has a business, especially in the hospitality industry.
one of my friends has 3 restaurants and this year he had Ukrainian workers for the summer.
Danny, you think everyone else is a scammer. Look at the one you married. To get out of this one, you might have to build a balcony and do it all over again.
