I was using the free internet dating site Plentyoffish, I had some good and bad experiences with it. Found some good girls for serious relationships and was used a couple of times for sex, I presume by married girls. But the interesting part, before POF removed all the woman from FSU countries due to scammers I was talking to a Russian girl that said she was looking for a relationship and all that, we talked and after a month she said she had a friend coming to the U.S. and I should meet her, that she would only be 30 minutes away. Suffice to say I met this girl, and every time I tried to mention her friend she would get angry, she was beautiful and I did not hear back from girl in Ukraine so I ended up dating the Russian friend. A year later after we broke up I find out that my ex actually was the Ukrainian girl, she made a fake profile, and loaded fake pictures to talk to me and meet and see if she wanted to date me. A guy met a girl (both in their 20s) through this site. It appears that the guy had a conviction regarding having sex with a minor girl in his past which the girl discovered. The guy went on several dates with the girl and he kept "pestering" her up to the point that she no longer wanted to see him. She later agreed to meet him at a local mall. They were talking in her car when she must have gotten fed up with him and got out of the car and walked away. The guy, who has a criminal record, was not allowed to buy firearms. He made a simple pistol using other parts and brought it with him when he met her at the mall. He shot her in the back as she walked away. He then got out of the car and shot her in the head. He pleaded guilty to first degree murder. I guess you can say this was a dating scam which was the deadly type. I looked at a site advertised on fb called Looxy. They wanted me to login with my email address and password?! I shut the link off, without giving out any info,,, but received emails from them anyway. I go to the site via the emails,, and there is always one chat request and one message. By the time I look at those, I will get one more request! The longest letter has been “What’s up”? The same thing every day, EVERY TIME!! I also get several spam each day,,, showing new members, or women that looked at my profile, or sent a letter. The spam usually has two or three profiles to look at,,, but the photos are missing?! Just below it says: “ Email didn’t load properly ? Just copy and paste the link into your browser!!” I’m sure a virus or malware is waiting. The women on this site are either 3 to 4 feet wide,,,, or really pretty! I get a couple from the Midwest,,, then the majority are in NY. And 18 must be the default age,, because many of the women are older than me,,, yet are only 18??
