The reason I say that is that the writer seems to have at least passing familarity with things like "pay-per-letter" dating sites and other aspects of FSU dating. There are actually a lot of American women who feel the same way, but they would be less likely to be able to articulate aspects of FSU dating so well. I still dont understand this phenomena either. The 1-20 men actually go is probably even higher as I suspect some of these letter writers are curious or living in fantasy land to begin with. Of course it seems to correspond to the amount of girls on the agency sites that are actually serious. Its a myth of the highest order to believe that you can visit one time, find the girl of your dreams and propose marriage all in one trip. I have heard of very few cases of "love at first sight" although Im sure the odds are similar as they are in one's home country.
