Not know if there is already a topic on this airline company?; but seriesly if you is a european guy wanting 2 travel 2 Kyiv then this is the airline for you, 2 if you want western Ukraine then fly eastern Poland for a local border-hopper bus.
I have been flying with w!zzy for 2 years now, bucket airline with dirt cheap prices and very reliable, so all you guys get your tickets and get here pravda.
Sorry i not been doing any postings here for a while but you can find me over at the Complaints Board.com trying 2 sink them retards, fraudsters Smith (manny)and his smelly pet poodles over at ruadventures.com, is a bloody good job im doing there 2!.
I`m now living in Rivne with my babes Lyudmila with our soon 2 be 4 gorgeous little terror son Bertie, he for sure is the boss of myheart2ukraine along with his lovely mother but i would not want it anyways other nor would any other coool guy 2 I`m a thinkings much!.
Any guys out on a limb here in Rivne / Lutsk you know where i am.... GOOGLE me
European guys have the advantage in getting to Kiev. But I can't complain too much about the cost from the US - roughly $1,000 ($995 on Delta.com last time) is what it costs me to fly round trip - during nonpeak travel times (not during the summer) and if you are willing to leave and return on a weekday.
On a recent $1,000 trip my last leg was a flight from Detroit to Green Bay - I was supposed to get home about 2:00 pm when a Delta representative announced that the flight had been "oversold" and asked for a voluteer to take a later flight that would arrive in Green Bay at 5:00 pm. In return Delta was offering the ticket (of course), a $400 travel voucher for a future trip, and two vouchers totaling $16 for a meal during that three hour wait. Since I HAD nothing important to do during the three hours, I readily volunteered.
I used the $400 voucher on my next $995 trip - to bring the price to $595.
Not a bad deal for a three hour wait in an airport.
Great deal jetmba but this is what a brit ( i )would pay if he was a member of w!zzy, member meaning pay a one of fee for one year of 300 grivna for even cheaper flights.
This trip i paid ( near-end of dec 2012 to 19 jan 2013 ) fly London-Luton >> Warsaw >> London-Luton 600 grivna then border bus Warsaw >> Lutsk >> Warsaw 500 grivna, so in all 1100 grivna for England / Ukraine :)
We all know $100 = 800 grivna so us brits pay around $150 daa $150!!!
Bowhunter we are lucky 2 have a car here in Ukraine and if we go 2 Crimea in the summer we machine or train ( train very cheap!) it.
I would not advise any persons 2 be honest 2 fly w!zzy in the summer months in Ukraine 2 Crimea for their prices are high, bloody high. W!zzy have 2 make a profit somewhere and this is where here in the summer months of Ukraine, so stick 2 the trains for your burnt-tan guys!.
W!zzy are very much ok for Warsaw / Kyiv and that new airport at Lublin ( Poland ) but until their prices come down inside Ukraine i will not use them and really i don`t have 2.
blue_craze, yeah come here i know couple kindergartens not far from my place i'll show you :) and i like 75+ guys are here any of them? Call me i will love you till your death, wich, i hope, will be right after our marrige and before 1st wedding night :)
I flew Wizz Air one time and I would never fly them again. I flew from Kiev to Oslo, Norway for a ridiculously low fare about three years ago. The cost was less than $50 USD. I wondered how they could fly me across Europe for such a low fare. I found out when I got to the check in counter and they weighed my luggage. The cost for my luggage was about $500 USD!!!!! I had to pay in cash (no credit cards), and in Ukranmian money immediately. Now I know why the fares were so low. All luggage is charged additional, over and above the price of the ticket. My suitcase was not oversized or too heavy as I have flown with it many, many times across the ocean on many different airlines (Continental, KLM, Lufthansa, SAS, Air France, Air Berlin, Delta) and I have never been charged extra.
I used Wizzair several times from Kiev to Simferopol without problem. I was concerned about their website posting that a visa is required for international travel. I spoke with the lead agent in KBP before they moved to IEV for flights in Kiev. I questioned the need for me to have a visa and she checked and stated that I would not have a problem. I however am wary because most people cannot be reasoned with and the site states that you will be denied boarding without visa. If anyone has flown from Luton to Kiev or Simferopol to Antalya I am interested whether visas are required before boarding, in practice.
I haven't flown Wizzair myself -- came close once, but the lady backed out -- however, I do have a little experience with "visa confusion."
In the first year or so after Ukraine changed its rules to allow US citizens to visit without a visa, I had at least one moment at a check-in desk with an airline agent who wanted to see my visa for Ukraine. After a few minutes, explaining that a visa was no longer required got me through.
I would expect that at any airline, there would be some person or document agents can check that has the current visa regulations (which, after all, are too numerous and changeable for everyone to keep track of), because it's bad for business (costly to the airline) if they don't get this right.
