Not that there aren`t good women here in the good ole US--just fewer I believe. I have been burned before from a Russian woman, ( actuall twice--sigh)have done the show up at the airport with 13 red roses,waited for a woman who was not coming, and been embarassed to see the jealous look on the faces of American women who probably only got flowers before the wedding--if at all.ANyway,I am wondering if anybody knows if I can find out for certain if a woman has been truthful and used the money I sent ( I know--a big no-no!)to buy a passport. If you have been burned before,I am sure you know that money is the least of your personal loss,and I do not feel bad about 50 or 100 bucks. I have spent many thousands more on ungrateful women here at home. I do not want her to think I am mistrustful,yet I want to protect myself this time around. After many months of wonderful writing,we are ready to meet,but this time around,I want to meet in Paris--that way I will get Paris even if I don`t get the girl!! Also,can anybody tell me what,typically,the Ukraine to Paris visa will cost? One last thing --if I may. I got what I know was a form letter from a girl in Kremenchug. After writing to her a few letters--she loosened up and still sends wonderful letters,which I know are not form letters. Is it possible that women from Ukraine or Russia actually send these form letters automatically to strangers until they decide there might be more to the stranger than they thought? The only way that happens is if you have met her already and agreed to marry her, and even then it is Not easy to get that elusive visa for her !! Women in the FSU do Not get out that easy friend. If you want to meet a genuine, real, sincere and honest Russian woman, you gotta get off your butt, cut a ticket and go there to see her, you are Not going to find her any other way mate.. As regards Paris, read the above !! Russian women are Not allowed to go anywhere without a damn hard fight !! The chengan visa can be got, but it has so many criteria to fulfill most Russian women cannot get one. First letters from almost all girls are prewritten and they usually send them to every man who writes to them, hell I wrote one for myself, which I send out to maybe 5 or 10 women at a time (changing the addresse on each one fo course !! Duh !!) The ladies do the same thing, at least for their initial reply to your approach, so long as the letters open up and begin to become natural after that then you have little to worry about on that score, just be a little more careful to whom you part with your $`s mate, learn to question and to doubt until you are proved wrong !!! I was/am? under the assumption that a woman from Ukraine could more easily get a visa to another city in Europe,ie. Paris,then she could a visa to the U.S. She has told me that the reason we should meet there is because our time in Ukraine would be less free and intimate because she would have to take care of her son foremost,and also-her friends drop in frequently,and this would also interrupt us. Because Paris is known as the city of love,the idea of meeting there is enticing to me. Does this sound reasonable? Or possible? I know so little still about visa laws--especially concerning the laws within Europe. I really do not mind the societal aspects of life in Ukraine or FSU--the friends dropping in, the communal hubbub,relatives coming by unannounced--or whatever,and I also want to befriend her young son ( of course!!) I am stuck in this rut of questioning anything that seems even slightly out of order or even smacks a little of deception. I have thought many times about just going to Kiev,and telling her--here I am ,come be with me,or if it doesn`t work out- having a vacation which I haven`t done in years. Maybe somebody can offer a learned suggestion--I am certainly not stuck in one groove,and am not experienced at this,by any means. When they're about you'll get a less distorted version of the reality of the situation which should aid in any decision making. My short lived limited experience of letters is that the bulk of them are template based or very loosely copied and pasted and likely sent to different recipients (strangers) especially at the start - it's the only way to keep up with demand in the first instance because of the sheer quantity - we've all done it haven't we, so why shouldn't the girls?. There will be a key event that will turn that around when it'll be obvious she's genuinely interested and taking the time to word every word from her heart and soul. For me, Women's Day was My Day I broke the ice, a phone call later that week melted the ice. ;) If I ever have a doubt anything, I just whomever for clarity. The idea of Paris sounds wonderful, but you will be 6 feet under before you can hope to meet her there unless something radical changes in the next few months/years. It really is a pipe dream, and please don't torture yourself with it, also don't feel in any way bad about asking about it or voicing your ideas, you are not the first who will ask about these things and you sure as sh*t wont be the last by a long way !! But for your own sanity, dont even spend another minute thinking about it, coz its not gonna happen that way, but there are other ways, ways which you wont get fleeced and have nothing to show for it :o)) I will come to that in a sec but first, let me play devils advocate for a moment. (Its MY turn TD !! OK ;o)) ) You decide to meet her in Paris, she needs money for visa, you send it, she needs money for ticket, you send it, you fly to Paris she doesn't show and you never hear from her again, why ? Because you were scammed, she never bought the ticket or the visa and you are out about $1000 at least !!! You and very likely 5 to 10 other men she has played the same game with !!! Travel and visa scams are the oldest ones in the book, why ? Because they used to be hard to argue with as no-one knew about the problem getting a visa out of there is, and in those days there were not excellent forums like this where people like me can tell you all about these nasty scams :o)) My very best advice, and you can take it or leave it, Go meet her in Kiev !! Why Paris for a first meeting ? When she knows fine well she cannot go there !!! Another story I know, Lady from Lugansk wants to come to the UK to visit her man, they refused her a 2 week vacation visa. It didn't matter that this lady has a son of about 5 years old, who she was going to leave behind in Ukraine while she had a 2 week holiday !! Damn good reason why she would go back I would have said, wouldn't you ? But they wouldnt ahve any of it and they just blew her out without any reason. (OH and just to make it really fun, the law says that No embassy is legally obliged to tell you why they have refused any visa application !! So you dont even know what to fix for the next application !! Sucks doesnt it ? Sometimes if the interviewer is in a god mood they May tell you what was wrong, but make no mistake, You and your Lady have no legal right to know !!) Another example, 2 Lugansk girls, wanting visa`s for England, went for interviews in Kiev on the same day, both got blown out. First one because she didn't speak enough English, the second one because she spoke Too much English !! Go figure that one out !!! The powers that be are an arse !! In most countries !!! Go and meet her in Kiev, train fair for her to get there is a relatively small amount to send, in case you lose it, $50 will easily cover train and any food she might want on the way + taxi from station to airport, and once she meets you she doesn't need any more money as she will be with you, then you buy her a ticket home the day you leave :o) Please, Please, Please DO NOT get into the "travel and visa`s scam trap" !!! A last final thought to tickle your brain :o) Why does she want to meet you so far away from her real life, family and friends ? Does she have something to hide ? You need to meet as many people she knows as you can to lay this fear to rest !! After all, you are flying half way around the world to visit her at your expense, the least she can do is introduce you to her family and friends !! Time for bed now !! Damn it late again !! Olga Moderator send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 3/17/2004 7:24:52 AM   You can do the following. tell this girls that you want to arrange everything yourself.That you will find a travel agency( a third party that is not associated with this girl or girl's agency) and pay them directly for her tour.( Some of our customers really did that) Tell her that in this case all that she will have to do is to come to agency's office twice-first to file application for tour and bring them her passport-and second time-to pick up her passport with tour info and visa. If she is interested in getting your money-she will object for sure. If she just wants to meet you-that would not matter for her and will be even more convenient for her. Also note that the official cost of getting international passport in Russia and Ukraine is a bit more then 20$. All other costs are usually required for rush processing times.And of course trhe best way is to visit a girl yourself. There are too many ladies here deraming of a free ticket, nomatter where. And even if she wil honestly use your money for getting passport and tickets-how do you know that she is interested in you and not in visiting a foreign country on a tour? May be you do not feel bad about loosing 50 or 100 bucks, but think that for some ladies its a kind of a job-they ask men for some money-not much for men but enough for a lady if a few of them wil agree to pay ;-))) TimH Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 3/17/2004 1:02:56 PM   Here here Olya !! There are actually women who regard going to the agency each day and writing to me as their job !! As Olya says, they ask maybe 10 men for money, maybe only $10 from each man, $10 to us is nothing, but she is now on a $400 a month salary of she asks 10 men for $10 each week !! Not a bad income in a country where $50 a month is a fairly usual income !! And all she needs to do is spend maybe 2 hours a day in the inetnet cafe or agency !! Money for old rope !! Quite right too if you ask me if they did !! And also, in using the search page, it wont let you put in an id number unless you do a search, so to save time waiting for lots of profiles to list before I can enter the number I wanna see, I change the age range to 65 to 65, there are actually 2 ladies listed at the site aged 65 !!!
