-Does anyone know if it is true that some contact sites pay women a commission to send out letters. I am referring to sites where you pay to open each letter. I am getting many letters from 19-30 year old ladies and I am 69. The site I am referring to is called "Single Baltic Lady." I have stated on my profile that ladies who have not already had their children should not contact me as I cannot father a child at my age. I have translated it in Russian too but still each day I get over a dozen letters from these young girls. Apart from one other site which I believe is a sister site to this one I do not get letters from these young girls.I am very suspicious of this site.
Someone once posted a site in Russian in which they were giving prizes for summer work in these dating sites. It is not up now. I think the grand prize was a car.
If you are looking for someone older, I suggest vk, my friend. It is a little more complicated. The scamming culture is there, but not very much. No agency is involved so you don't have to pay to get scammed.
This is simple. ABSOLUTELY. And horror of all horrors, the pay per letter groups actually have women who sit there and answer all of the letters that come in by themselves! The fact is that at your age, (Im 54) you should limit your age group to 20 years younger or less. Thats 49. Heres the horrible truth. No 19 year old woman wants to be with a 69 year old man. Theres only 2 reasons to write... One is that they dont really exist and plan to make money on a per letter basis. The other is that you have a LOT of money and they plan on coming here marrying you, then waiting for you to die to keep your cash. There is the third possibility, they want you to come over, meet them, buy them things and give them money, then send you home until next time they want some more of your money.
Dude, be real. Ive wasted a TON of money on all of these places and they are nearly all scams. The only one I could ever recommend is fiance.com. I met a wonderful woman here and she is not here for the money. On the other hand, shes in her upper 30's, has a child, and has a track record of being with older men (she was 23 and her first husband (Ukrainian) was 46. It lasted 12 years before she caught him fooling around and got a divorce.
Dude, come on. They want a husband who they can relate to and enjoy life with. How is a 20 year old girl going to relate to her a man her grandfathers age?
pay per letter is almost always a scam.
at 69 im guessing 98 percent will be gold diggers.
I still think its possible to find a lady who seeks a good companion.
just be careful. If you are financially secure and adventurous then come on over
and see what happens. I met a guy your age in Odessa a few weeks ago. He was clearly a sex tourist but
he did manage to find some 40+ ladies who were genuine girls but I dont know how that worked out.
You have to be serious and if so, I think you have good opportunities and 40+ year old ladies are usually serious
“Does anyone know if it is true that some contact sites pay women a commission to send out letters.”
I’ve read it many times, guys claiming that their woman has,,, “spilt the beans” on agencies and how they pay women for writing letters. However,,, I can’t see them handing out weekly or monthly paychecks.
The incentive for the women, is to be there for collecting the free gifts, free meals and leftover money from a guys trip.
Don’t be fooled by the sites that don’t charge a per letter fee. Their biggest incentive is to get you to their city, then they can charge you for their taxi, interpreters, apartments, etc!
The number of letters you get each day doesn’t matter either,,, the girls don’t even know that they are writing to you. It’s called: “Intro Spam”! One letter, that might have been written by the girl, that the agency sends out to dozens maybe hundreds of men each day.
Well I am writing at the moment to a doctor who is insisting that I meet with her rather than a long correspondence. When I asked her if she can accommodate me to reduce costs her reply was to the effect that as a first meeting she insists that we use the agencies accommodation, car and translator services.
It is a very expensive item to go and visit someone in the Baltic states. I am not rich at all and my idea would be to reduce the cost of a visit as much as possible. My idea is to find someone that can speak basic English and so do away with translator costs. Why can't a woman accommodate me in her home to do away with hotels or apartment costs. If she can't trust me then we have not developed sufficiently for a meeting.
Placidgent, first of all - even if she was genuine how can she accomodate you in her house if she never met you? What if you're a pervert or something... but second - she's not genuine :) cos if she were, she would find you a cheap hotel or appartment and didn't use agency's services.
third - if you don't have money - forget about FSU, we don't like guys, who keep counting every cent... especially at your age... sad but it's true.
"If she can't trust me then we have not developed sufficiently for a meeting."
You are right.
note,,The Baltics States are part of the EU and NATO. Lithuanian people are very friendly and hospitable.
Are you aware of all the expenses involved in getting married and moving her over here? If you consider visitation costs to be too high - don't waste your time. You're 69, no women that has any kind of respect for herself is going to "accommodate" you. She may help you find a better deal but it is your job as a guy to take care of yourself. She can find a grampa to "accommodate" at FSU. Why does she need you?
Also, I don't know where you're at but if its US chances are very slim that she will ever be able to practice medicine in America in a role of a physician.
“Why can't a woman accommodate me in her home to do away with hotels or apartment costs. If she can't trust me then we have not developed sufficiently for a meeting.”
I wouldn’t fault her for wanting you to stay somewhere else for the first visit,,, she’s being careful just like you are now!
However,,, her insisting that you use the agencies apartment is a bad sign. That’s exactly what I meant by:
“Their biggest incentive is to get you to their city, then they can charge you for their taxi, interpreters, apartments, etc!”
The Baltic states are becoming far worse than any horror story you have heard out of Ukraine.
Latvia is one of the worst if not THE worst when it comes to scammers.
Hah!! The only way you will find out about ANY lady on ANY site is to meet her face to face! Hey I'm 78 and probably get much more letter and *followers* than you! That's the big attraction of Euro-sites. Age doesn't really matter. It's what you have and have not! Yes, sites DO offer monetary rewards for *communicating* but it's really chicken feed if you play your cards right.
Whether you get scammed or not is really up to you. It's not hard to separate the good, the bad, and the ugly.
It's been a few days since I have been on here so I can now update some of the questions.
First of all the doctor I have been writing to is 49 (I'm 69) and lives in Kharkov Ukraine. I don't think she wants to move to the UK where I am living. I think she hopes that I will move over there since she has a private practice there and teaches in a university on medical issues.
She is also registered on this site as well as the Finance site where we found each other.
www.atlantidaagency.com
I think she wants to use the facilities that this site offers such as interrupter and apartment and so on.
They have contacted with an information email but it doesn't say anything more that the information on the web site. There is no information on the site as to the costs of the various services and I wondered if anyone has any ideas as to such costs.
To the person that made reference to not liking people who count every penny. I just don't want to waste the money I do have. I have always tried to get value for money no matter what I buy. What's wrong with that? I certainly don't want to get screwed. There are hundreds of guys who write on these forums telling of how they got screwed. I'm just trying to avoid it.
