Also when you realize that it is rarely a first marriage that is to an fsu woman, you should compare us second marriages where the divorce rate is way over 70%. Now you can't tell me that there aren't 20% of the men who aren't assholes either. I know several us/fsu couples and one of them the woman is the sweetest person I know over here and he treats her like crap, but even they are still together. Sorry guys, I think there are jerks on both sides of the Atlantic and if you do your home work, actually take the time to get to know her family over there (oddly in all of these horror stories there is very little talk of interaction with their family) make it clear from day 1 there will be an iron clad prenup.... And she's not 20 years old... Its easy to avoid the scam playing out over here. I do know a manfrom India living in the US who was scammed out of $600,000. He married an fsu woman and she talked him into giving her an on paper job with his company for $90,000. They set up desperate banking systems to "save on taxes" (her idea). Then she suggested they start buying distressed real restate and title the properties in just her name, again to save on taxes. T hen she had her mom come to the states too. Her mom as given another $90,000 on paper job. The wife and mom then incorporated (her idea again) to save on taxes again. 3 years later and $1.8 million invested in real estate, she filed for divorce. He left her credit cards turned on in his name for 6 more months where she and her mom ran up $600,000 in bills. She wiped him out. Oddly he said until the divorce, there were no warning signs. It was out of the blue. At age 27 a single woman in the fsu gas a less than 1% chance of ever getting married. If she is 27 and has a child it drops to less than 0.1%. Of the women on these dating sites only 6% will end up getting married and leaving her country. Now think about it. 20 year olds are not that serious. If you are 35 to 50 you can safely look at the 26 to 35 range though. Another thing... All of these women (nearly) will want a kid. If you are in your 50s that may not seem like a great plan. You should then may one with an older kid if you don't mind kids. I've got a 13 year old son who lives with me. So her having a 12 year old son didn't matter a bit to me. Just think of these numbers because the only thing more certain is she knows them. They say they are looking abroad in the FSU for a wife but when you look at their passports you discover they have only spent 30-40 days over here in 2 years. Thats not enough time to do shit. Ive been curious enough to go on 2 agency dates. One was a 22 year old super model type. We had an excellent time and it cost me 100 bucks for a day spent together (but I got laid). not my type and Im not her type but I added to my "experience" files and didnt have any expectations. As for some studies I've read. The closer in age the 'international' couple, the lower the divorce rate....... which makes sense to me. Rick, I see you are back, how are you doing? I’d bet it’s for 1 or 2 years? The old INS back in 2008 claimed the divorce rate was 75% by the 3rd year! It takes 2 to 3 years for their greencard! All of those bad things that you claim guys have made up, do happen. Lonely, nowhere in the vast expanses of the google universe have I found ANYTHING that even remotely matches your claimed statistics. FACT: foreign marriages divorce rate is half of domestic american divorce rates. too bad you were on the losing end. Success stories are so rare, that we need to read about every one of them. When I say Tom’s girl is the “ 1% “,,,, it is a compliment, meaning a sincere girl from an agency!! Finding a sincere and genuine girl from an agency is so rare,,, that more guys have better luck if they pass on the expertise and convenience of a website/agency, and go it alone! Stevc from Canada is a recent one, he was in the right place at the right time! Rick,, those stats came from the old INS, and I found them online. They were two years old at that time. The time period for Tom’s 19% is needed! I’ve asked at least 5 times,, but I don’t get an answer. I had mention that I met a UA girl in-country but after that failed adventure the next one was on-line. My mistakes for lack of common sense , knowledge and expectations cost me time and money (for the record: I was not scammed), my second conquest lasted 2 months on-line and 2 weeks in-country; cost an air ticket only since I stayed in her house. Again, it did fail …these girls were genuine, but nobody is perfect. I had a great time and a better understanding of their culture and language now. Dating girls < 28 + immature = Epic Failure. There are a lot of fake profiles and dating sites catering to unrealistic dreamers who will get a rude awake or a long-term nightmare … REMEMBER guys, they are not desperate to cross the big oceans.
