I am newly registered but definitely not new with this MOB thing. A bit of my background: I live in Perth, Western Australia. I am in my late 20s. I am not obese, unkempt or physically run down. To be honest, I am at my prime: I have a nice house (bought, not rent), own a fully paid off car. So far it has been 2 years, but I have no success at all. Let me rephrase, there is no sign of success coming either. This is regardless of using pay per x sites or the traditional sites like EM. My biggest mistake is communicating with one lady only without being able to verify her intention of emigrating. Of course she always said she intended to move, but dropped the bomb one day saying she's not ready yet. The rest is history. By the way, this lady existed and I had actually interacted with her in video. I do not think mailing multiple ladies will make much diference (although I am doing this now), since all of them would say they are ready to move any way, and possibly derail it one day in a similar fashion. I am wondering if there are any publications, like a business directory that list down all the real agencies in Ukraine. It will be even better if this directory categorises the agencies under different locations, so I can pick the location with most agencies as my destination. I am referring to real agencies in Ukraine which has a published address and phone number, and an office where I can walk in and enquire. I am thinking of hopping from one to another, and meet girls in a go when I will go to Ukraine for maybe two weeks or longer. I think ladies who can show up under short notice are more serious. In addition, I can easily tell any BS from visual cues and decide which lady is likely to be genuine. Just for contextual accuracy, I am looking for women whose ages are around early to mid 20s. Based on my time reading on this forum, asking for a list of real agencies is like asking for photos of real unicorns. I don't think real agencies exist. Did you use Dream Marriage? I spent over $1000 with them and then when I went to Ukraine to meet the girl she said she couldn't meet as she is on holiday with a man in Turkey! Fiance girls always refused to communicate off the site. Always wanted to video chat on the site. RussianCupid/UkraineDate had some real girls but they weren't very hot and the hot ones were scammers. I spent 3 months in Ukraine late last year and I will probably return again soon. Honestly, the whole country is a scam. Go there for a fun holiday but don't take their comments, promises or stories seriously. These girls exist just to use foreign men. As a drunken German expat in Kiev told me, Ukrainian girls are "born to f*ck" and that is about all they are good for if you ask me. Leave your heart in Australia mate. Stay safe. The local population is accepting of dishonest practices. BTW, most men who are looking for a girl in the FSU are well past the age of 30. I hope that the more experience they have looking for a girl over there, the less they think of them as MOBs. That is all, nothing to do with whether it is scam free or not. I would prefer not to mention which site I used, because ultimately everyone gets into bitching about particular sites or agencies. From my experience, I realise two things: 1) There are no agencies that have no scam at all; 2) Most girls are there to make a buck, finding a foreign partner may also be a primary reason, but many times it is only a secondary reason for the girls. This is best illustrated with an example. I know 'Lady A' well, seen her, and verified that she existed. What does it mean? The answer: it means nothing. She is there to look around, earn some chat money, and if she finds a man she likes, she might get married, but she can always change her mind and leave the site. I can't tell what was in Lady A's mind when she left, but I know something similar about 'Lady B', who had professed to me how much she liked my profile, and also whom I had ignored. I ignored her when she did not reply the message I left for her in VK. That was done in the beginning. She also shared a photo where she was on vacation. I recognised that hotel, and know she would not be able to afford one night of stay there, let alone few nights. She was apparently married one year later with a foreign guy. See, she was a scammer for a lot of men, but a real girl for just one man. Granted, this is not that 'true or false' answer everyone's in forums like these yearning for. This is how agency works. The agency do a lot of work on behalf of the girls, and the girls just sit tight, review who's coming their way, and wait for the right man. Of course, the catch is the agency does not inform men with no chances about their reality. Quite the contrary, the agency staff simply pretend that everything is still good and continued writing. Lady B was required by the agency to be involved with these other men once in a while, so there would be something new to write. It also misleads the other men into thinking that it is still real. Lady B could not stopped scamming other men, partly because she also made some money, and she wants to keep going with that one man she likes. Maybe there is a Lady C who felt very sorry for other men, and declined monetary reward, but the scam goes on because she had a contract with the agency. Lady C cannot just nullify this contract otherwise she'll lose contact with that one guy she truly likes. Once again many pretentious letters were sent to other men from Lady C's account. So why women with genuine intention goes with agencies? The answers are right on the wall: 1) It's an autopilot system (I probably wouldn't resist if a similar system exists for men). 2) Have fun, meet new people, make some money in the mean time; 3) Many perks like gifts and free English lessons. Gone are the days when there is no real girl involved. They are all part of the scheme now, albeit some girls truly want to get married to foreign husbands. It is not all black and white. It works all the way from hot women to women who are not as hot, from women with children to older women. As men, we just have to play smart, think of it as an adventure, and realise that we cannot always win. Ultimately, we only need to win once. The directory is my plan B. Lonely ranger mentioned something that I also agreed. But once at the battle station, I just need to try my best to separate the wheat from the chaff. I am inclined to believe that genuine women are all well aware of the games being played at agencies. If a potential suitor rocks up at the front door, it is a once in a lifetime sort of event. Genuine women will notice, and will act accordingly and swiftly. It's a genuine woman I am after. Remember the glass half full or half empty expression? I go all the way with this adventure, so I just need to think positive. Of course there will also be plan C which is just having fun and be a tourist. You see, many of them have already had relationships with young Russian men: boyfriends, co-habiting and husbands. The guys cheated on them, drank, did not work and/or had no money, so I think many of them think: I have had enough, I am going to look for an older and reliable foreign man who will appreciate a young and beautiful woman like me. Besides an older and past the best years of his life guy will find it difficult to find another one better than me. That is what I think. After an FSU young guy (under 30) left an under 30 year old woman, in her prime, with a 3 year old kid for a younger model, 20 years old (of which there are many), the lady in question is going to find it very difficult to trust another young guy again. However, if the young guy is foreign, he will need to prove himself really well to convince her. I no longer have any real expectations of finding anyone permanent. It is hard to trust people there, or anywhere maybe. One woman in Russia was nice. She allowed me to file an I-129F petition for her to come to the U.S., then apparently got scared or something, and wanted me to move to Russia!! So much for the "engagement." It is one thing for these girls to put themeselves on the internet. It is another for them to actually leave their country for a man and live in a foreign country. Some are just looking for fun, some don't know what they want, others want money and gifts, some may actually want to find a guy and get out, but there is no way to really know. I am 54 and have accepted that i will die alone. If you visit Ukraine do it as a vacation but trust no one and see if you like it. I have been on a daily correspondence for a month now with all my questions answered and the woman is verified by a local i contacted in her town. All a guy can do,,, is try to put his best foot forward,,, be honest with the girl and himself,,,,, ask and answer legitimate questions,,, be accommodating to practical requests from the women,,,, and if they don’t take advantage of a positive, life altering situation,,, just move on!
