I came in here after returning from my first trip to Ukraine asking how it was possible that everyone wasnt successful at finding a Ukrainian wife. Thinking back on it perhaps I was a little optimistic...I was thinking 2 or 3 trips. It took 5 but I can honestly say now that doing this thing is not the "climbing of Mt Everest". It took a little more time and thinking that my first impression but come on...Its harder to graduate from high school than find a great Ukraine bride. Of the 20 to 30 women I met, mostly from agencies there were a couple scammers but on the whole most of the women were straight up. Then there are women you can just meet on the street. I needed laundry soap but no one in the local market understood what I was looking for...so an elaborate game of charades... I pretended to take off my shirt...open a washer door... dump in soap... but to no avail. I walked out of the store wondering what to do next. An elderly woman, perhaps 75 tapped me on the shoulder. She raised one finger in the air as to wait for a minute while making a call on her cell phone. 5 minutes later a beautiful woman perhaps 35 showed up and handed her daughter off to her mom. She came to me and in perfect English, with out even a hint of an accent asked "My mom said you could not speak Russian so she called me to give you a hand" I explained to her what I was looking for as we walked about 20 minutes up the road to a store. It turns out she was a professor of english at one of the SUmy universities. We actually had a great time buying laundry soap. Due to my target fixation (the model I was to meet in a few hours) I stupidly didn't even ask her for her contact information.. (yes sometimes men stop thinking)but occurrences like this are not uncommon over there. All in all it seems to me that finding a great wife over there is easier than doing your taxes (unless you use the ez forms) So all you men just starting take the nay sayers with a grain of salt. Agency women are just women and not any more prone to be scammers than any other women. Now if you are in your mid 50s and you exclusively wish to meet 24 year old women, you get what you deserve. If you are in your 50s and wish to meet women 35 and up, you will also get what you deserve, the love of your life. I do have to say lookiing back that I would not go out with women who need a translator. I would run short of dates or simply meet scammers. I got back yesterday from an afa tour. If you got stones enough to put yourself at a table of 6 25 year old beauties this is the way to go the first time. You will have all the details worked out. You will meet more women than you could possibly date and you will love it. I know you read horror stories about afa here, but those are from men lacking a package large enough to insert themselves at a table full of beauties. One trip with afa and you will have 3 to 6 cities with at least 6 women in each place you will think could be your other half. After your first time you will have a dozen or more women just waiting for you to return and visit them --------------------------------------------------- I always get a kick out of people that call me a “liar” and tell me to prove it!! The reason people like you and I do it is that the reward at the other end of the road is great. The Mail Order Bride stories where you can buy a wife as and when you wish are fabrications by Western women and the media. They love to make up these stories. However, you are making the mistaken assumption that a good looking woman who speaks English, that you meet in the street there and who is nice to you, is one that you could marry if you were to court her. I bet she might not even have given you her phone number if you had asked. The great majority of women over there have no interest whatsoever in getting involved with a foreigner, marry him and go to live in his country. The small percentage (but still a lot of them) that do are in the foreign dating and marriage agencies. She had a daughter, did it not occur to you that she was married!? How would you like a complete stranger asking you wife for her phone number and her giving it? The fact that her mom hooked her up with the American dude was another. Also the fact she wouldn't walk away and was just kind of lingering souls before I left sealed the deal. I'm on vacation with my son and wife now. The day before leaving I had to work and it sucked. Then or plans got buggered up at the last minute and I was a little pissed and very tired. I was up at 4 am and didn't get to our hotel till midnight. I was a little irritated. Here's the point.... She said to me, very seriously, that it was her fault "because I wasn't thinking about you and protecting you during the day". He must like the replies that he gets from me? Danny claimed 2 or 3 years ago, that he had spent over 10 years and OVER 200,000.00 dollars on his search!
