Hi guys. Of course most of you don’t bother yourself with learning Russian, and most of the ladies you meet don’t speak or pretend that they don’t speak English well enough to communicate without a translator between you. Usually it is a girl from the agency and she is offered by the Lady. Even if your woman speaks English she will order the interpreter. No doubt she gets her interest from it. So you have a girl with the interpreter who is always between you. The interpreter is not your person, she acts on behalf of the woman and will never help you to understand if the woman is real or not. The interpreter is always with you and you need to pay for her meals, drinks, entrance fees and all other expenses you carry during the meetings and trips. So you are alone – they are in two, you don’t understand anything – they are aware of everything and understand each other, you pay both for your girl and for the interpreter. It’s not fair.
Here is the solution:
- First of all, the interpreter should be your person acting on your behalf and representing your interests. If the Lady you are going to meet insists to use her candidate and objects your one, this might be red flag. It may be that you are in their scheme and they are just making profit of you. A very nice way to identify a scam.
- Secondly, why to have an interpreter physically with you if you have a mobile phone and earphones? Just put one into your ear and another into your lady’s ear and call the interpreter. That’s it. You are in two, no additional expenses and any time you want to be absolutely in two you just cut the call. Isn’t it better? Wherever you are, in any city, you have your personal interpretor with you online. And you can use him or her to order a taxi, to speak with other people, to order in the restaurants, to communicate with the authorities.
- What else? It is much easier for a local to identify a scam, you can have not only an interpreter but an adviser, guide and assistant. All in one.
- And finally – a hidden assistant. If the girl insists and doesn’t want to meet without her own translator (she will find a dozen of excuses for it beginning with being too shy and finishing with being afraid of meeting an unknown person alone) you can just call and let your assistant listen to all that happens. You can’t even imagine what the lady and her interpreter may talk about. Sometimes it is enough to listen to 10 minutes of their communication to understand that you are being scammed.
This is a bit off topic but I don't trust interpreters in general.
One case I know of was an interpreter in Kiev. He would befriend the client and make him feel like he was his friend. He would then ask to borrow $1000 or more from the client. He would then just not pay it back.
This was his way of making money. More money than he could ever hope for interpreting.
Oh, Tom once I had a bad experience eating sushi, if I were to follow your logic I wouldn't eat Japanese food at all because that one was a bit fishy:)
There was a buddy of mine with me in Lithuania, and he decides to engage in conversation with a woman about 40 yrs old he was 35 them (till today a no-brainer). She didn't spoke english but she uses a young kid, about HS age, probably a relative for translation. I saw that and call it ridiculous, awkward and unnecessary... while me and the rest of the team were clubbing with local chicks and drinking with guys that spoke some english (mostly in their 20's).
I noticed that in Ukraine older educated people know german, but he younger generation is into english...Also needless to said that Western non-native English speakers men, use English to communicate with FSU women.
---forget the translator, your lady shall know some English, but don't hesitate to ask for the wifi parolb for your smartphone or table.
What kind of person meets another person which cannot communicate intelligently? HMMM...1. A sex-tourist 2. A human trafficker 3. A lonely and desperate half brainer trying to buy some love. F#ck those losers, let them get swallowed/scammed... less ID10T reports for the police or Embassy.
I just had a woman kicked off another website for being a scammer. I got a letter from her, followed by another letter asking for translation fees. Typical translation scam
In the UK we have/had a TV show "Dragons Den", the USA and other countries have it also under different names, it's where wannabee entrepreneurs go begging for money to invest in their business plan, in USA it's called "Shark Tank".
Around London it is said that the taxi drivers have the "knowledge" of the roads and know the shortest/quickest route from A to B anywhere in London and so a few taxi drivers decided to set up a telephone service (where the money is revenued by the cost of the premium rate call charge) where the public would phone for the optimum route from A to B, should they be stuck in traffic, should they want to learn a short cut etc. etc. etc., I mean all they had to do was call this number and their problems would be solved.
These taxi drivers went asking for investment because nobody was calling the number.
I would use a personal interpreter hired by me as a personal guide if I really needed one. I really do not need a "third wheel" which will make it look like I am dating two women.
Armin is correct. there are many people who are honest and trustworthy who can be your guide/interpreter in Ukraine for
not much money.
Ive overheard so many ladies and their agency interpreters talking shit in front of an unsuspecting guy and he has not a clue
what they are saying. An agency interpreter is NEVER on your side.
why some guys dont even bother to at least learn some basic language boggles the mind
and focusing only on girls who know sufficient english doesnt improve your odds as they have higher expectations
My ex was an interpreter and she told me that if the woman says something stupid like "you suck" to the guy she (my ex) would interpret that to the guy as something like "I love you" just to keep the interpreter hourly fee meter running :)
I got taken to a Japanese restaurant, a very upmarket one, in Kiev also and they definitely had Sushi ... The fact that I had asked to be taken to a Chinese restaurant ... well :)
At the new mall in Kherson they have sushi made by actual Japanese chefs that is fresh and authentic.
we have had a McDonalds in Kherson for a year now!!!! The place stays packed 24-7
I have learned that with few exceptions, one can have just about anything in Ukraine that you can have in America.
I always used to like TGI Friday's in Kiev if I was ever overnighting in Kiev, by oneself for a night it was a good hangout, the very friendly waitresses spoke excellent English and it was just a very pleasant atmosphere with some reasonable food.
