Most lower economic regions breed corruption and scams all over the world. In this region, they have trumpeted, the "family values" and "old fashioned" aspects of the people. However, with the ever changing gender roles and society changes over the years, these concepts are becoming rare and no longer reflect the current reality of today. Better to try your luck in regions close to the Arctic circle. Many of the dating businesses are trying to emulate how the early pioneers who lived out West who looked to find a woman to marry and raise a family. They think they are going to a region that is "insulated" and "exotic" where the people there live and think "differently". There are differences, but in the long run, people are the same everywhere.
I have divided the people in a region into four quadrants:
1) Not serious and no desire to change their current living enviroment (this group includes the majority of the people along with "Boris", professional daters, and "hard" scammer types.
2) Not serious and has a desire to change their current living enviroment (this group includes the "soft" scammers and "long term" girlfriends).
3) Has serious intentions and no desire to change their current living environment (this group desires an immigrant spouse or foreign long term boyfriend)
4) Has serious intentions and has a desire to change their current living environment (this small group is the only group worth considering IMHO)
The great majority of the people (those of the first three types) do not want to think "outside the box". That box is the FSU homeland environment and lifestyle. To emigrate is a huge decision to make. Many do not have the "courage" to make that choice. It is not an easy decision to leave your "comfort zone". I am, for the most part, a suspicious person. My line of work involves analytical research. If something does not compute, then it no longer is worthy of further pursuit. Computers never lie. People do.
This is an excellent well written article. It sums up dating scams and Anastasiadate in general. I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.
"She explained the whole sordid array of techniques, from a light impersonalised online-chatting version to a full-service chauffeur-driven platinum fraud, where men are rinsed of cash for a full week in Odessa, thinking they are cementing a lifelong relationship while actually they are being strung along on platonic dates that end with them dispatched to the airport with heavy hearts and empty wallets."
The key is to be cheap - a tightwad. Maybe frugal is a better word. She asks me to go to this particular restaurant, I say no, let's go to Coffee Life, or let's not go to a restaurant at all. Let's just go for a walk. She asks for a taxi, I tell her to take the bus.
These techniques may make me seem cheap but they have saved me from becoming a victim of dating fraud - and I've ended up with a wonderful girlfriend with her own job and money - YES IN UKRAINE!
Everyone should read that article before they go, including you LR.
It is amazing though - this site Anastasiadate. I know someone who has lost thousands to it. He's spent thousands on chat, then thousands going to see the women in person in Ukraine, all of them rejecting him.
And yet he uses it uses it uses it. He can't stop. Even going into debt. Even unable to pay his income tax bill because of it.
Here is another report where the guy spent thousands and the girl never showed:
http://tinyurl.com/o9pjkt8
Guys when posting a URL use http://tinyurl.com or similar because it shortens down the address. Sometimes you guys are posting a site but it's hard to get to because sometimes a " " (space) is added for some reason to the address.
If you look at the photos of the girl in the report I posted, she's really ugly minus the makeup.
That's what Anastasiadate can do. Take a really ugly girl and cake on bake on makeup in a photoshoot and vuala, you've got a seemingly presentable girl.
This guys mistake was not getting in direct contact with the girl and chatting with her only though the site.
But still you can do everything right and the girl never shows. That's why I say you should have 5-10 contacts going at all times so you have others to fall back on should your initial ones fall through. This guy put all his eggs in one basket.
And don't use Anastasiadate or pay per minute sites.
To clarify my quadrants. The group in the second description includes "mistresses". The group in the third description are looking for "sponsors" or "sugar daddies".
Even with the last group, you have to consider things like personality/character issues and physical/health issues. You do not want to end up with a "nut case" or a really greater burden to your life.
A couple of my girls know girls that are working for Anastasiadate and they have also been asked to work for the agency because they can make
good money because they are very pretty and they were told that the men always chose the youngest and prettiest girls.
They are told they will be paid via commission from letters and chats they are able to generate. The more men, letters and chats, the more money they can make.
Its far far better than any other job they can work plus its easy. They are trained in what to do when the men actually come and are promised
that the agency will take care of everything and provide "protection" from the men or they can chose not to go but are encouraged to go one meeting
because they can make money from the man when he is in the city. The agency does not even seem to care that many are not even 18 yet.
Some of the profiles are deleted abruptly when I communicate with them. Then the profile reappears with a newer profile ID number later a few days or weeks later with the same information as before. Was it my breath?
Last week I received an introductory letter from "Tatiana". Then I received the EXACT same message word for word from another profile a few days later that is "signed" by Tatiana. The second profile's name is not Tatiana. Is this a system server glitch? Is this the work of an agency professional writer behind multiple profiles?
Dcguy,,, I like your number 4! To me,,, a woman should not use a guy to change her address,,, but,,, if it is a part of her plans,, a good guy and a better place to start a family,,, then I am all for it.

Ukraine , 10th in the world as a recipient of remittances, $9 Billion for 2013
http://ow.ly/pysos
Remittances are aggregations of Western Union , Moneygram and Worldremit
Out of the first 9th position, China runs bridescam and to some extend Phillipines, although the bulk of their money transfer is from oversea maids (Phil.).
In 2012, Ukraine remittances was almost 5% of GDP. I don't have the breakdown of the remittances received but my guess is that a good chunk comes from Romeo's all over the world helping her little darling. Lets say about 20% so roughly $1.5B
Now lets add to this direct scamming revenues, the website , the romance tour, the agency, the translator, escort .
And the indirect revenues in Hotels, restaurant, train, bus, taxi etc...
My estimate is that the bride scamming business generate at least $10B of new money injected in the Ukrainian economy. Every year.
Dcguy,,, it isn’t just dating websites,,, but fb too. I have a general distrust of anything “online” .
Yesterday,, I was looking at some of the profiles advertised on the right side of fb,,,, the people that I might know? I started to notice patterns,,, like most moved about half a country away,,, but then I noticed something else,,, 8 out of 10 worked at Chevron?? And they all had just become friends with the same person.
Scams and dishonesty are everywhere!
