I'm working on a White House petition asking the US to designate Russia as a State Sponsor of Terrorism.
Of course, signing the petition is for US citizens only.
If any of you are good at social networking, and know how to reach a few dozen (or maybe a few hundred) US citizens interested in the Ukraine crisis, would you be willing to help get the word out?
It is my understanding that petitions need 100,000 signatures. When the signatures are met, the White House must address it, although they do not have to respond by policy.
Good luck, sir. I will help you anyway I can. I am active in social net working, but I would not call myself "good" at it.
What Danny is doing is typical of the Russians on social media. They make things up to sidetrack the subject. The Soviet Union sure made a mess of nuclear waste in Chernobyl.
It takes time to build an audience, unless you pay for it. Social media takes time.
Facebook is good, but it will cost money. Facebook posts are no-followed. That means Google and the search engines will not post its content on their search engines. However, in each of your posts, there is a "Boost Post" feature where you can pay for Facebook to post your post as people browse on Facebook.
Twitter is also no follow and you can also pay to have your posts appear.
Google Plus is a follow platform. I have not seen anything there that asks for payment. It takes time to build a following. Be aware of your posts on Google Plus because they appear on the search engines. Use words that people will use on the search engines to find you. There, you can do articles and hope that the search engines will pick it up.
Here is and example of a community: http://goo.gl/FpJUCx
Here is another example. This is one I work on. goo.gl/ygkYXK
That being said, this forum is a follow platform. The search engines first see the title. Therefore, I believe you should start a new thread and name it, "Petition to Designate Russia as a State Sponsor of Terrorism" or something like that. In many of your posts, use your key words, but not always in exact order. Google detects those, and don't like them.
Google is turned off by keyword stuffing or using words unnecessarily just to put in your keywords in again. They have been getting sophisticated in detecting those.
