even peak travel period to Ukraine is more than 15% less than last year.
that savings alone would pay for most of your accommodations for a 2 week trip or half of a month.
While I was aboard Aeroflot VKO - JFK the flight was about 50% full. The service / food was excellent which is very much different from Aeroflot internal flights.
'I recently flew Odessa - JFK with a change in Moscow (VKO) on Aeroflot one way for only $353. If anyone needs help with cheap flights let me know.'
Are you sure about that??? I thought Aeroflot only flew out of SVO on international flights????
I know your flight from Odesa went to SVO. Are you saying you transferred from SVO TO VKO??? Hope you had a transit visa!!!!
"How cheap of flight can you get going to KBP without going thru Moscow??"
pretty damn cheap right now. I always buy round trip tickets as they are cheaper than one way tickets because the "change fee" is always only $200
no matter what. so when I came back a couple weeks ago a one way was $698 on delta versus $988 round trip which I plan to go back to USA on July 3
prices go up june 1 until September 1 but still you can get Delta flights for 1100-1300 round trip from USA vs. more than 1500 last year.
I am diamond medallion delta member so I get best seats(front row economy) and free drinks for this price.
Now is the best time to come! airfare and accommodations will never be cheaper than they are now.
My transfers are always Paris or Amsterdam and I prefer Paris as I hate Amsterdam.
Keep in mind that I fly only Delta because of the perks. You might find even cheaper flights now if the carrier isnt important, possibly under $1000 round trip depending upon
when you leave and length of stay and especially if the very front seat of economy isnt important. It is for me, ;)
Is there such a thing as a cheap day of the week to fly? Or one that is not as busy?? In the past, I've tried different days when planning a trip, but never really found a pattern.
For business routes Mondays and Fridays tend to be the busiest, more expensive, for leisure routes the weekends which leaves mid-week as the cheapest ... in theory!
But on many a search engine one gets a "+/- 3 days" option, those are useful.
But then one needs to be flexible to establish which days of the week permit one to travel round trip with the same carrier ... Not all routes are served daily by the same carrier.
MartinPC I've seen guys book 1-2 months in advance then something changes with the girl they've been writing and they end up with non-refundable tickets. From my experience there is nothing wrong or desperate about booking one or two days in advance of your flight. Heck I've even booked same day.
