But i did not see that girls were not allowed to register here...So I did it...
I thought:"In the worst case they will ban me!"
But...actually, this forum is much more interesting that girls' forums))
I have a question... Probably, you can help me, if you are so kind...
I need an advice from men who had experience with visas for their ukrainian girlfriends...
There have been several female profiles on this forum. It is just that the number of men outnumber the women, but there is no ban against women.
The visa application process depends on the residency of the sponsor, so it can vary. If you are referring to visa applications done in Ukraine, I am not familiar with that process.
Yes, I am going to apply in Ukraine, my boyfriend is American, living and working in Western Europe.
The point is I am going to apply for the American tourist visa( we are planning vacation together) and I don't want to specify him as a sponsor.
I have heard multiply times(from travel agencies which prepare papers for visa, on different forums where people tell about their visa experience) that if Ukrainian girl(without husband and kids) applys for B1/B2 visa and specifies that she knows someone in the US - she will definetely get visa denial. And especially if she has boyfriend there.
The logic of visa officer is simple and clear(at least, for me it is): Ukraine is poor country with unstable economic situation, salaries are low, so girl without family has nothing to lose and she is potential illegal immigrant. In my opinion, it is better to not specify that I have friend in America.
Does it have any sense? or does it sound stupid and unreasonable?
I have tried to explain this to my boyfriend but could not convince him((( He wants me to specify that we are going to travel together. He wants to be honest. I agree that being sincere is good but I am sure that in this case the result will be unfavourable for us.
I am not going to break any law and I do not have intentions to immigrate illegally... but visa officer knows nothing about my real intentions...
I just wanted to know if someone had such experience and know how to explain this tricky nuances of Ukrainian mentality and unspoken rules to the person with American/European cultural background...
Given the amount of illegal aliens in this country, visa approvals for foreigners are rather strict. I have never been to Europe nor had any dealings with visas for people from that region. I can tell you that visas are hard to come by for tourist purposes unless the traveler is part of a tour group or has a local "rich" sponsor. I have relatives who come from a "third world" country and they got approved for a visitor visa only after they had to put down "collateral" in the application. They had to show financial assets in their own country which was essentially "ransom" in order to get the visa. The government here does not usually approve visitor visas to people who lack financial assets and who would likely stay here and not leave. I had an foreigner in-law who studied in college in this country and did not leave when his student visa expired and he no longer went to school. When he had to go back home to visit a sick relative, he was denied the visa to return back here. Many years later, he was able to get a visa to come back after another relative was able to sponsor him.
What you have mentioned is not unreasonable. A sponsor is supposed to be responsible for the foreign visitor and is held accountable if that visitor "disappears". People from poor countries usually do not have an easy time getting visas approved. There are people looking for the "American dream" and will take any avenue to try to achieve it. And that will include using "snakeheads".

Your statement above is true to you but to anyone whose country is not on the USA visa waiver program and meets such profile; however, you should have high chances, if you're holding valuable properties or to a prominent job title at your work center. My GF got a tip also to apply for B1/B2 visa 2 or 3 months before the stimated departure date.
Based on my own experience living and working on both sides of the British Channel, it would be easier for you to get a Schengen visa to meet him where he currently is and tour a few other countries down the road with extreme caution due to the current migrants crisis going on in Central Europe....if your BF is in the UK, then is going to be a big ordeal to get a visa or to get sponsored.
I have several Schengen visas(I think 6) during the last four years. One of them was for business trip to France(work purpose), other for tourist purposes. I got my last guest visa (1 year duration) a week ago.I visited him several times and we have been travelling over Europe (mostly Norway, Sweden) this July. He is not in the UK, he lives in Schengen zone.
I am not very enthusiastic about trip to the US, and, moreovere, about moving there...My parents are in Ukraine, they are not young and I want to be close to them. Europe is relatively close and I like this, while USA is toooooooo far. Actually, it was his idea to bring me to the US, to show his country and to introduce to his parents.
I know that visa approvals for foreigners in the US Embassy are rather strict.
In fact, I have no financial assets, valuable properties or prominent job title, my salary is ridiculous... But I still have chances to get visa! I can submit work reference with higher level of income(my accountant will confirm this if they call). I work in this company for 7 years. Not all Ukrainians get their salaries officially, many people get most part of their wages in the "envelop". I also can put money on my account and show form of a statement of account from my bank. The point is, visa officers usually don't pay attention to papers... They pay more attention to the answers of the applicant.
I know girl who has similar situation as me. She applied for the US visa, and showed salary about 800 USD (in real life she gets less), she told that part of her expences are paid by her Ukrainian sailor-boyfriend (it is not true, she is dating American guy), she told about an Ukrainian friend(girl) who already had US visa and specified that they are going to travel together. She got the visa.
I argue with my boyfriend on the topic: whether i should mention that I am going to fly with him or not. I suppose it is better to apply like a tourist, having decent job(my company is quite big and stable), travelling together with other Ukrainian girl who has visa(she has been to the USA and got back) and specify that i can pay for everything by myself(or maybe with help of my imaginary Ukrainian boyfriend). However,my real boyfriend insists on applying and mentioning that we are going to travel together and he pays. He does not understand my proof-points: for Embassy Ukrainian girl having friend with American citezenship and not having "strong ties" with Motherland is a potential illegal immigrant. In this case "who pays" is not very important, more important is to be "silent" about American friend.
I would go for the schengen visa also. After 4 or 5 trips to say Greece, France, Italy etc then it is more likely to get a visa to USA. One of my ex GF followed this route and eventually got visa to USA.
"I argue with my boyfriend on the topic: whether i should mention that I am going to fly with him or not."
If you mention that you have boyfriend or a friend to meet up with you, this could set up "alarms" like Human Trafficking.
By the way, your English is good and thanks for elaborating more about your situation. I had seen and heard of tons of Ukranians and Russians making a living in Germany most of them illegally.
most Americans don't like to fly out the country unless is a necessary and we avoid countries that requires a Visa. In my humble opinion, don't quarrel about visa with " expert " American boy.
"I am not very enthusiastic about trip to the US, and, moreovere, about moving there...My parents are in Ukraine, they are not young and I want to be close to them. This is exactly why I think most FSU single women would prefer someone in Europe if not in the local region. That is why I am considering "writing off" all of Europe due to the large cultural divide between those people and myself.
" my boyfriend is American, living and working in Western Europe. "
" The point is I am going to apply for the American tourist visa( we are planning vacation together)"
According to Wikipedia there are approximately 800,000 Americans in the EU alone.
is all about Hit or Missed . That's hers BF red pill to swallow. But you're right! IMO ladies with this mentality should be written off. Travel back and forth is possible but not feasible. Cost + Time. A big factor for a king like me, is that his queen's loyalty and support. Relatives and friends should not be an excuse for frequents flights. That's what we called in California, high maintenance.
On another note, Eastern European dreamers, of moving to Germany are highly hinder with the current influx of thousands of migrants to Western Europe. The " cultural diversity " among themselves could turn chaotic sooner then expected.
Merika is still the best place for " living the dream ".
"That's what we called in California, high maintenance."
Going to visits with relatives back to the "motherland" like every few years, I can accept. But if you become homesick and yearn for your native land, then stay put. Regardless of how bad it is.
High maintenance to me is living the "high life". I was introduced to a local young lady by my grandmother many years ago. She was quite attractive, wearing high fashion wear, and wore makeup and perfume. After the meeting, she told my grandmother that she was looking for a guy who could "support her lifestyle" and probably be as attractive as she was. My grandmother told me that she was sorry that the introduction did not work out. I was glad that she was honest about it all and she did me a favor because I personally saw no use in dating her.
As for the huge tidal wave of immigrants to Europe, I am not sure why it is happening now. Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. have been having a war for a long time. If they get routed towards Ukraine region, that would become interesting. Then the ethnic populations already in the region are going to get more competition. Ukraine can become the new "melting pot". Bring on the Mongols.
