I simply got tired of all "stupid" Ukraina women I have met. Well, not met in real life, but written to. I got fed up with the fact that all is about agencies making money, and not about people meeting. I get lots of letters from girls age 18-22 (I am 57). My children are older than they are... Of course they are not interested in me as a person. And when I have written to someone who seems interesting, it is impossible to get to know them better. They are not willing to talk on the phone, or via email. All contacts must be via agency they say, those are the rules.. They are afraid of giving away their email address (in case I am a crazy person is the usual excuse...) And those I have written to are very "passive". When I ask about hotels, airlines, etc it seems impossible for them to find any info, even if it is in their home town. It seems that the man should do all the effort, and they just sit and wait... Actually I have lost interest in finding a "photo model looks" girl from Ukraina. When Poland was a "poor" country we had lots of dating agencies that linked up Swedish men to ladies from Poland. But when things in Poland got better, women no longer had an interest in Swedish men. Now we have women in Ukraina who are desperate. No wonder everyone say "I love" after just a few letters.. On some, I get loads of model teens sending me messages. On others, I get middle aged women only. I even got messages from women older than I am. Do not be tricked by the advertisements. It is all about the money and not love. Think of it like those telemarketers who try to get you to attend those "get rich quick" seminars for "free" and then try to persuade you to buy their programs. It is free at the start and then the rest is not. And it also sex discrimination on the male side of the correspondence. It is because the capital is in North America and western Europe. I read something about Poland and how the economy improved and the dating activities dried up. Many sites will also advertise that they started in, or came from the US. Well,, Aweb started in the US too. It was one of the agencies he was working with. You see Brett never really had an office of his own. He would work with local agencies then upsell their services. It is "dog eat dog" world, so you try to stay ahead the competition. And some will resort to lies to do that. A few years back I walked into a "local agency" and saw just that. A middle aged lady, not attractive, working at a computer answering letters on behalf of ladies existent or non-existent I don't know. I never stuck around long enough to find out. And what struck me is it wasn't even being hidden. I was in his office 7-8 years ago and went by his office a few months ago to see if he was still around( new office now). He isn't in Kiev anymore but his staff still is. If you want to meet a girl on his site, they call for you and set up date...directly with girl. They don't push letter writing at all, they prefer the 'matchmaker' service. So I emailed Brett Ousley to please contact me at my phone number and he did, then I confronted him about him saying to me that he lives and has an office in Kiev, and that I called there, and was told he does Not Live and work in Ukraine, and how comes you are never available at your office and never available during Kiev Ukraine regular business hours, he started to get irate with me saying I live in Ukraine, I live in Ukraine, then I said to him Why is the phone number that you are calling me now a US phone number, then he hung up on me, I then looked up the area code on his number that he called me, and it was an Atlanta, GA phone number in the US. So there was No way I was going to give him a $500.00 deposit." Maybe they will give me a desk. That does not make it my office that I pay rent on every month. Brett was just a middleman. He's back in Knoxville, TN operating under the name Christian Ousley trying to sell real estate. He has a wife and little girl to support. As far as I know, he wanted to bring up his daughter in USA, not in Ukraine. He was in Ukraine for a number of years....seen him a couple times over the years( or did he happen to be in Ukraine the times I was there?) Tom, Tom....just because you have a US number doesn't mean you are not in Ukraine. There are some cheap services available(magic jack is one ). As I said, KC pushes the 'matchmaker' service...that is what the $500 is for. I know a couple of guys that used that service to find wives. I didn't like that service. In other words you could just walk in off the street and pay $20 for 1 meeting. Brett would mark that up to $100 (so $80 profit) but a minimum of 5 meetings. Hence the $500. What he was doing is just collecting the $500 and delegating the arrangement of the meetings to he agency. He did nothing. He just collected the $500 and then paid the agency their share ($20 per meeting.) However, the problem was many of the girls were no longer available and the agency was doing very little to recruit new girls. Brett was doing little or nothing to recruit new girls. I read one comment that "Kiev Connections" had only 2-3 new girl recruits a month. So the guy would pay $500 and would not be able to meet the girls that he wanted because they were no longer available or if he could meet girls many of them demanded exorbitant cab fares and expensive restaurants just to meet. Many of them had been in the agency a long time and were not really serious about getting married. They just wanted to be taken out. I do not believe Brett's side of it that the negative comments were written by his "competitors". I think that guys really had bad experiences. Some good, yes. In spite of Brett because there were real girls. When my mother was ill I posted on our contact page that I was temporarily in the US and posted a phone number to contact me. I have never had the conversation that is posted here. This is an obvious tactic to discredit men and my agency." So there were times he was using the phone system you suggested and was actually in Kiev. Other times he was in the US. He was back and forth. That is why clients sometimes couldn't find him in his "office" in Kiev. I mean if you are in Ukraine why not just call from a Ukrainian telephone? To me it adds no credibility if it's a US number. The same thing with Brett touting "American owned and managed". Is that supposed to add additional credibility and make me feel more comfortable doing business with them? And it's not really American owned and managed because Brett is just collecting the money and it's the Ukrainian girls in the office doing the work of contacting the ladies for the client, etc. To me there are honest/dishonest Ukrainians. There are honest/dishonest Americans. That explains what the $500 is for. As far as I know the 'walk off the street' meetings were $50. Don't know where the $20 came from. I did meet a couple girls a couple years back, none needed exorbitant care fares or expensive restaurants. One we met at Irish Pub ( down the street from KC) and other meeting at Globus mall where we had a drink. Second girl was more interesting so we spent next 5 days together. That is my PERSONAL experience, not something I read. I take anything I read with a grain of salt, some guys just get less than they expect and vent.
